Bought this to replace a broken one on my Peace Sports Smarty. Even though it matched all of the numbers for the engine, etc., and looked to be exactly the same shape, it did not fit. Had to grind down several areas but did eventually get it on and it works, but was a lot more work than expected.

The description said it would fit a Tao Tao. The levers look similar, BUT - 1. The ball on the end of the lever is bigger. 2. Most annoying was the lever was about 15 thousandths of an inch two thick around the pivot pin hole in the lever. I had to get a file and file it down to fit into the lever holder where the pivot pin attaches the lever to the holder. 3. The switch on the lever holder does not actuate with the new lever. 4. IT's THE WRONG LEVER or defectively made. Bob Oliver 831 383-2676 Spent $30 for two levers plus additional money for a file and aditional time. ... show more
