This is another solid piece from a brand that has been consistently reliable for us. The fit is comfortable and true to size. We ordered a medium for someone who is 6' tall and around 150 pounds, and it fits well. There's nearly always some adjustability built into things like this, and these aren't an exception. Plus, if you plan to wear them with boots, you have more room to play with if you are tall (these didn't quite reach ankles... again 6' tall). The details on the lace ups are nice enough to want to wear them outside the boots and they still look great! The fabric is breathable (100% cotton). It's comfortable enough against the skin, though it's a bit rougher weave. Not super or overly rough, just not the tight-knit weave you might use for say a quilt. The fabric is lightweight enough to be comfortable for warmer days. If you need warmth, you'll have to layer something under it. The quality is also what I've come to expect from this brand. The stitching is neat and consistent, the details are nice, the seams are well finished, and the fabric feels like it will hold up decently though periodic wash and wear. Nothing about it feels uber cheap or poorly made. Overall, this is a comfortable, well-constructed piece that does exactly what it should and looks great doing it! Can see these used for cosplay, themed events, Ren Faires, stage costumes, etc.

I LOVE Runcati's offerings. I've tested several pieces through the Vine program and all of them area great and worth the list price. I would absolutely buy them. These pants are fantastic and durable and have pockets! I'm very excited to wear them during Ren Faire season and on warm days since they're light enough to catch a breeze. Pairing them with the viking puttees will make a great costume. If you're considering buying these, do it. The fit, quality, and pockets! make it a great value.

The material is a bit itchy and rough but I suppose that is a bit of authenticity to the period it is representing. It is also quite thin and will not keep you too warm in the colder months but otherwise they are a decent piece of roleplay garb to add to your wardrobe. The ankle ties do look nice and lace up easily, they are durable enough to go through several washes now without noticeable wear and tear. All in all I would say as a piece of pirate costuming it is worth it to grab.

What I liked: These pants are super comfortable and lightweight thanks to the cotton fabric. The elastic waist and drawstring make them easy to adjust, and the tapered leg with lace-up cuffs gives them a really cool look. I originally got them for a medieval/pirate-style outfit, but they’re actually versatile enough to style in other ways too. The pockets are a nice bonus, and overall they feel breathable and easy to wear for longer periods. What I didn’t like: Nothing major to complain about. Fit may vary depending on how you prefer the looseness, but the adjustable features help a lot. Final thoughts: Great for cosplay, Renaissance fairs, or themed events, but also surprisingly adaptable for more modern or styled outfits. Comfortable, functional, and easy to work into different looks. I ended up styling them into a more techwear outfit and they look great like that too!

This may be the best pair of costume pants that I have found on Amazon. They are comfortable, versatile, and they just look good. Comfort: The fabric is 100% cotton, and it is very breathable. There is an elastic waistband with a drawstring, and they are cut to fit loosely. So, you have a lot of leeway to feel comfortable in these pants. Versatility: These pants can be a base layer for several different types of costumes. Depending upon what you pair them with, you could dress as a wide variety of historical or fantasy characters. The tapered legs can be worn inside boots, but they would also look good with lower rising footwear. Heck, these pants are so comfortable, you could even make a fashion statement and wear them for everyday use. Appearance: There are several things that set these pants apart from other similar styles, but mostly it’s the attention to fine detail. For example, other brands might just tie a knot in the ends of their waist drawstring and be done with it, but Runcati has chosen to put on a couple of nicely detailed golden aglets. Also, along the edges of the drawstrings on the tapered legs, there is a nicely stitched bit of piping that just adds a little bit of class to the look. These pants are well worth their current price point of around $25. I am looking forward to wearing them to the Renaissance Festival this fall!
