Me and my feet could not be happier with these shoes! I have chronic corns (from not being able to find good shoes), a bone spur and chronic pain from an old injury, and these shoes accommodate these problem areas very comfortably. I farm on a rocky hill with no level area anywhere. I have fallen three times from shoes slipping out from under, but the traction on these shoes seem to magically hold on to the ground no matter how many loose rocks are underfoot. I also have weak ankles - these shoes give me great support. I wore them six hours straight the first time while outside working and they were comfortable the whole time, not a blister anywhere! TRUE WIDE WIDTH HIKING SHOE! I am a size 8 in torrid usually, however sometimes they're too narrow. I ordered an 8.5 in these to accommodate socks. Perfect fit!!! UPDATE: using a few times a month for hikes and camping and they still look nearly new. Slowly breaking in. Like I said, for lighter use these are a great deal and will last a long time. They are also a good enough deal for heavy use if you are struggling to find wide work shoes. A pair of these twice a year cost about the same as a really nice pair once a year. Downsides: -heavy as hell, but that adds to the workout so I guess I'll deal with it -needed to buy arch supports (technically a plus in the long run but still set me back seven additional dinero). Upsides: -very wide. I mean I have VERY WIDE feet. The curse of the widest feet on Earth. Olympic gold in wide feet over here. They are certainly wider than yours because in all my years on Earth, I have yet to know a person with wider feet than me so the odds are slim that you are that person. Also I have VERY high arches which makes me require even more cabin space in my shoes. So basically, if they fit my hamdogs, they'll fit yours. -room for arch inserts. This is a plus in my opinion, when a hiking shoe has a removable "placeholder" insert. It allows you to customize the foot bed to fit your own arch, basically transforming them into a much higher quality shoe. -for light to medium use these will last many years. -they're actually kind of cute for what they are. These boots are so comfortable (10 w) and waterproof, I like them so much I bought a second pair. My feet do get warm but the other benefits outweigh this.

I ordered 9.5 (I’m 9 but ordered 1/2 size up based on comments form other buyers). I’ve ordered 9.5 before from other sellers, but these 9.5 feel so different. These 9.5 claim to be 41 EU and that is enormous. These boots are beautiful but feel so loose (I feel like I’m wearing clown shoes ), Specially in the ankle area. I’m so disappointed. I was looking forward to wearing them on my next three-day hiking trip. Update: managed to wear them using two pairs of socks together (folded around ankles) and that did the trick. Was able to hike 52 KM in a 2-day trip with no problem. Very confortable boots. ... show more

    • True to size with room for hiking socks
I initially bought a size 9 wide after reading reviews. My foot is a bit wide, so depending on the cut of the shoe, I sometimes need a wide, but not always. I wanted plenty of room for thick socks and toe wiggle room so I thought the 9W was right...but alas, no. It was way too big. I returned and ordered an 8.5 regular width and it fits perfectly. This hiker is made to accommodate a hiking sock and is plenty wide for me. I've only worn them for doing some serious yard work and they proved to be waterproof and were comfortable. Will update after some hikes if that changes. So far I think these are a great value for the price. ... show more
