You always have friends telling how great certain items are that they like. Like shoes for example, I had been told how comfortable these “Hey Dudes” were but was always skeptical that shoes like these never hold up. So, I finally broke down and I bought these Hey Dudes about a year ago. Based on their sizing, comfortability, and affordability, I was astounded by them. I have broken 3 vertebrae in my lower back and have had 4 back surgeries, so for me finding a pair of shoes that are not only stylish but also comfortable is a feat (pun not intended) to say the least. I not only have to check soles and insoles, but also the ease of getting them on and off. Which a lot of time I end up having to sacrifice comfort to get the style of shoe I’m needing for a certain dress attire. Sizing can be a bit of a challenge for me because I require an 11 ½ wide so which is not common in some brands. Most people when buying a pair of shoes, they must try them on to determine if the size is right. The size of the shoe on the box will get most people in the general ballpark of the right size. But like jeans, shoe size often varies slightly by the brand and make of the shoe. Some shoe brands like Hey Dudes do not make the half sizes, so if you wear a size 11 ½ you must settle for either a size 11 or 12. However, with Hey Dudes if you require a wide fit shoe Hey Dudes has it covered. Like I typically require a size 11 ½ wide shoe, and the size 12 fits great. Overall, Hey Dudes are accurate to the size they claim. Comfortability is partial to the individual. Whether some people like a super soft sole or rigid sole. Hey Dudes sit almost center of the scale on that. I have a bad back and I have tried shoes with similar types of soles. Most of which crushed down after wearing them for an extended period or consistently wear them and didn’t last a more than a couple weeks and I was on to finding another pair of shoes. So, when I was looking at them in stores, I would just set them back on the shelf and walk away. After buying the first pair, my skepticism was gone. I can wear them all day and my feet still great. The only downside to the sole is they wear down after a year or so and become slick if walking on a wet service. So, they’ll need to be replaced after that, but at their price, it’s easy on the wallet. When it comes to affordability, I sometimes will pay the extra money to get a good pair of shoes. However, whether you look at Amazon or the Hey Dudes website, the prices are matching. With the popularity of Hey Dudes at the time I expected a much higher price, I was again surprised on how reasonable the cost was. And since I’ve bought mine, the price has even decreased. Sure, you can find a cheaper price with the off brands, but you also sacrifice quality sometimes. After looking over the shoes and wearing them for about a year, I would definitely recommend them. They fit good, comfortable all day, and they are affordable. I would give the Hey Dude shoe 5 out of 5 stars. I attached a picture of one pair I’ve had for about a year and you can see how they have held up.

Received these overnight. On sale for $44. They’re a little wide on me. Wore them with socks today. Just because of them being a little wide and the weather was cooler. Didn’t walk a whole lot in them but enough to tell they should be comfortable enough for everyday wear. Not sure if I’d wear them while doing a whole lot of walking just because my feet tend to hurt in anything I wear after a while. Will try them without socks just to test if they will wear blisters. I hope by washing them they will shrink enough so they don’t feel as big and also look as big, they just give the impression my feet are bigger than they actually are. All in all I love the style, the variation of colors and the casual look. I ordered 2 more pair at the same time as the others. Debating on one the pairs whether I will keep or send back because the description is the same as these others I received overnight. The 3rd pair description is a little different so hopefully they won’t look as wide. Even though none of these said they are wide but the reviews said they were bigger than expected. And after searching I also found some they actually say wide on the description. Would have left 5 stars if it hadn’t been that the width seems wide.
