TLDR: The Wallys shoes are a comfortable and stylish solution for those with hot and sweaty feet, like myself. They have high airflow and are great for indoor work environments. There are a few drawbacks, like being slightly loose and having a non-adjustable cord, but the positives, including their lightweight and breathable design, outweigh these issues. For a long time, I've been in search of the perfect high-airflow shoe. While I've tried various types, most had odd appearances or other significant drawbacks. The Wallys, however, hit the mark with their comfort and good looks, making them ideal for my job as a computer programmer. They're especially beneficial for my tendency to have hot and sweaty feet. They're not without flaws, though. My pair feels a bit loose, and I worry they might slip off if I run. The adjustability is also limited. The cord can be tweaked, but making it too tight creates a pressure point that's uncomfortable. I managed to remedy this by tying an extra knot for a snugger fit. This is a compromise with their loafer style, which might benefit from a more conventional lacing system and possibly a padded tongue. There was a minor issue when they arrived – one shoe had a long tag under the insole that made a clicking sound when I walked, but cutting it out solved the problem. Now, for the positives: The upper part of the shoe is made of a ropey, burlap sack-like material that's surprisingly comfortable. They are a bit floppy and tricky to slip on, but that's a minor inconvenience. The outsole is made from a lightweight foam that's extremely comfortable, and the insole fits perfectly. The shoes' ventilation is effective. While I don't always feel air coming through the holes in the outsole, there have been moments when standing outside where I felt a cool breeze on my feet, which was quite pleasant. The insole might block some airflow, but it's a trade-off for comfort. I'm curious to try walking without the insole for a full airflow experience. In conclusion, I definitely recommend the Wallys, especially for those with desk jobs who suffer from hot and sweaty feet in regular shoes.

finally got a pair of Hey Dude Wally shoes, and I can officially say I understand the hype. These are, without a doubt, the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.
