I'm all for minimalist design that doesn't sacrifice function, and these HEYDUDE loafers mostly hit the mark. The weight-to-performance ratio is impressive; the shoe feels incredibly light, almost to the point where it's easy to forget you're wearing them. The combination of the lightweight outsole and removable foam insole delivers a seriously comfortable cushion, making them a great choice for long days on your feet. The elastic laces and "easy-on" system are a genius touch for convenience, and the aesthetic is versatile enough to be dressed up or down. However, the one glaring flaw that keeps these from being a perfect five-star product is the sizing. The fit is inconsistent and seems to run both short and narrow, especially for a shoe that doesn't offer half sizes. It's a frustrating manufacturing oversight that can make the initial purchase a gamble, and it undermines the otherwise solid construction. Once you find the right size—which may be a full size up—they’re an excellent shoe, but that initial sizing hurdle is a significant pain point. ... show more
