Love Herschel products for their durability so I started buying them for my boys as well. My kindergartener is into his second year with his Milky Way backpack and is still going strong. Decided to get one for my 8 year old who borrows it whenever were heading out for the day. My 24 y/o daughter tried it on and loved it as well, a great day backpack. Besides loving the pizza print, its roomy enough for an iPad / tablet, composition journal, pencil case, books, an adult size Kleen Kanteen and a couple of bring along toys! Even though it doesn't come with a separate iPad compartment, the entire back of it is cushioned as well as the shoulder straps. Felt comfortable to have him to bring it along, just made sure to keep it towards the back. Like the extra roomy opening and the magnetic closure straps make it easy to get up and go! Packaging and speedy delivery from this seller made this a win win! ... show more

My kid loves it, but if you kid stuffs their backpack, this will not work. It only has one big main pouch and the small one in front. If they are just taking a few things to school it will be fine. Almost perfect. I just wish there was a small pocket inside the main compartment. No complaints otherwise! An added plus is dog hair doesn't seem to be attracted too much.
