    • CLASSY. MOST LIGHTWEIGHT! COMFY. YES FOR TRAVEL! Small yet 30L!

I am a 72 year old woman who still loves to travel to Europe with only a backpack. PROS: 1.) LIGHTWEIGHT!!!! Even with 3 pairs of pants, 7 shirts, hiking shoes, socks, toiletries.... TOTAL WEIGHT 10 lbs! This bag is actually HUGE. I also have the smaller one and while this is only about a half inch bigger on all sides, for some reason there is an enormous difference in the amount I can put inside. The smaller is 24L. I have been researching backpacks for months. In fact, have become “addicted” to comparisons. What I’ve found is that all the little extras... add weight! That weight makes a lot of difference when it is on your back. As far as a luggage sleeve... I can add it myself! Just use FABRI-TAC! In fact, with Fabri-tac, you can add your own lightweight pockets etc. wherever you want! I’m going to add a pocket to the shoulder strap. Easy. 2.) SHOULDER STRAPS! It is IMPERATIVE to be able to easily and quickly adjust the straps once I put it on my shoulders.. and be able to loosen the straps to take it off quickly! ( Ie: you are boarding the airplane and want to wear it down the aisle... yet get it off quickly at your seat.) You can tighten the straps EASILY by pulling on each strap... then loosen it by pushing down on the plastic tab. Easy on and off! The shoulder straps mesh are a bit scratchy IF you only have on a tank top and are putting it on open skin. BOTTOM LINE... this gives you a ton of space without weight! And it fits under the airline seat. APPEARANCE: I got the solid black. This is “classy” looking. I can carry it on cruise ship excursions instead of a purse. No crazy straps or water bottle holders. It does have “water bottle” pockets on the side, that you can use for anything. They don’t stick out. For me... comfort yet looking classy is everything, and this little bag is it. (You really don’t need all the other “stuff” on heavier backpacks.) I am only carrying clothes. Will carry passport and money in slash proof neck pouch. PRICE: !!! Come on! This is 100% quality without cost! I can definitely travel for weeks with this, hop on and off trains, ferries in Greece! (7 shirts/3 pants/shoes)! I can do that! ... show more

This backpack is perfect. It is NOT a fake, and it is great quality. It came in a plastic dust bag, with tags and everything. It has a laptop sleeve, water bottle side pockets, and the straps are cushioned so it helps when carrying all my heavy books. I go to school in florida so I will say that when I wear a tank top, the straps are pretty scratchy and uncomfortable, but other than that, it's perfect. The backpack is also rather large lol i'm 5'3'' and its a little big for me. I ordered it in light pink and have gotten a lot of compliments on it as well. A little pricey, but I know it will last me a long time. ... show more

I bought the XL 30L backpack and I’m glad I did I was considering the mid-volume or classic size but I think they would have been to small for me. I’m 5’11 and this backpack fits me perfectly it does not feel too big or too small. It Also comes with a laptop sleeve and it has sleeves on the sides for water bottles as well (fits my 18oz water bottle but anything bigger defiantly wouldn’t fit) overall I’m really happy with this backpack the only thing I’m not a fan of is how big the Herschel patch is but it’s not a big deal. ... show more

    • Solid , sturdy and versatile backpack
Bought this for when I visit my daughter and we go hiking. I needed a place for my camera which has several lenses and this back pack is roomy and served that purpose. I liked the side pockets and used for my phone and a water bottle. This backpack is not water proof but the material is thick and I think if u were out in the rain it would at least repel water for a bit. The size of this was very roomy and going through the airport it held my camera, amazon fire, and my book. I would recommend this backpack. ... show more

Love the backpack and only took 2 days to get to me wit prime! My only quarrel is that it is too small for a college student. I have a mac book air 13 inch and that 1 notebook and 1 small textbook is about all i can fit in it, and that pocket on the front is ONLY for pens and skittles. I have a iphone xs max and that along with a couple of pens and chapstick barely fit in that front pocket. Excellent material, purple color is alot darker then i expected but still pretty !! Lost one star jus for sizing issues. ... show more

    • Better than I thought!
By far one of the best backpacks I’ve ever purchased and I’ve purchased many! The tie dye pattern is really cool and the colors are really bright, just as pictured. I got some iron-on patches so my kiddo could make it her own and they look awesome on the black front pocket (FYI, had to hot glue them on, but expected that after reading some reviews). I was worried it would be too big for my 2nd Grader (she’s slightly on the taller side for her age), but it’s not. With the straps pulled as short as they go, it sits just below her waist and I love that I was able to wrap the straps up to tuck into the elastic so that they don’t dangle. Inside I’m able to pack a 1” binder, a rolled up beach towel, a rolled up hoodie, AND a 10” square lunch bag (a tight fit, but it works). The side pockets are great for a 16oz water bottle in one side and small hand sanitizer spray bottles in the other. That still leaves the front pocket for extra face masks, glasses, pencils, etc. This backpack has seen daily use since school started in August and it literally still looks brand new. The material is tough and stiff, and it’s held its shape even after several leaky water bottle incidents. Be warned though that the material is scratchy! On price, it’s on par with other name brand or trendy backpacks. It doesn’t have the fancy pockets or straps some of the others do, but honestly, we haven’t needed anything else. Overall, super happy and will definitely be looking at Herschel backpacks first going forward. Honestly, I may just keep this one for myself after my kiddo is done with it! ... show more
