I purchased this backpack a few days ago before my 3 day LA trip as a last minute change from a small suitcase to avoid luggage fees. This fit everything from my sleep wear, 2 XL sweaters, cargo pants, a medium makeup bag, AirPods Max, iPad Pro 12.9", passport, chargers and charging cables, and a small crossbody bag. I primarily ordered this backpack since it is close to the maximum allowable size for many airlines as a personal item. Admittedly, I have many, many backpacks, and I often get more looking for an ideal backpack for the occasion. I got the XL (30L) version of this backpack. Note that there are different reviews for other sizes of this backpack. The shoulder straps are lightly padded, which is nice. It is also very lightweight (I'm guessing less than 1 lb). There are also pockets on the outside for water bottles - not that they are not elasticized, so they may not be secured. Overall the backpack meets objectives of being lightweight and the right size. It is also comfortable with weight in the backpack. Downsides: there is the zipper pocket in the front, and there is a sleeve in the inside. There are no other pockets or zipper areas. This is quite a downside, depending on what you are using this backpack for. But I am guessing that with more pockets, etc, it would increase the weight. I will be keeping this backpack, and likely using it for travel, especially since I often put a smaller bag/backpack into a larger one when I fly, so that way I have options when I am at my next destination. But if you like organization in your backpack, look for a different one. ... show more

    • CLASSY. MOST LIGHTWEIGHT! COMFY. YES FOR TRAVEL! Small yet 30L!
I am a 72 year old woman who still loves to travel to Europe with only a backpack. PROS: 1.) LIGHTWEIGHT!!!! Even with 3 pairs of pants, 7 shirts, hiking shoes, socks, toiletries.... TOTAL WEIGHT 10 lbs! This bag is actually HUGE. I also have the smaller one and while this is only about a half inch bigger on all sides, for some reason there is an enormous difference in the amount I can put inside. The smaller is 24L. I have been researching backpacks for months. In fact, have become “addicted” to comparisons. What I’ve found is that all the little extras... add weight! That weight makes a lot of difference when it is on your back. As far as a luggage sleeve... I can add it myself! Just use FABRI-TAC! In fact, with Fabri-tac, you can add your own lightweight pockets etc. wherever you want! I’m going to add a pocket to the shoulder strap. Easy. 2.) SHOULDER STRAPS! It is IMPERATIVE to be able to easily and quickly adjust the straps once I put it on my shoulders.. and be able to loosen the straps to take it off quickly! ( Ie: you are boarding the airplane and want to wear it down the aisle... yet get it off quickly at your seat.) You can tighten the straps EASILY by pulling on each strap... then loosen it by pushing down on the plastic tab. Easy on and off! The shoulder straps mesh are a bit scratchy IF you only have on a tank top and are putting it on open skin. BOTTOM LINE... this gives you a ton of space without weight! And it fits under the airline seat. APPEARANCE: I got the solid black. This is “classy” looking. I can carry it on cruise ship excursions instead of a purse. No crazy straps or water bottle holders. It does have “water bottle” pockets on the side, that you can use for anything. They don’t stick out. For me... comfort yet looking classy is everything, and this little bag is it. (You really don’t need all the other “stuff” on heavier backpacks.) I am only carrying clothes. Will carry passport and money in slash proof neck pouch. PRICE: !!! Come on! This is 100% quality without cost! I can definitely travel for weeks with this, hop on and off trains, ferries in Greece! (7 shirts/3 pants/shoes)! I can do that! ... show more
