I bought this 3-piece colonial costume set for my Betsy Ross costume. The apron was well made and so was the bonnet. I didn't need pins to hold the bonnet in place, so that was a plus. The shawl was the reason I took 2 stars away. It was a little small and I am an average built woman. The stitching was poor. Many loose threads were visible along the edging. The material was not tucked evenly nor neatly in the fold along the edge and thus the missed tucks were exposed. Fortunately, the poor stitching was on the underside of the shawl, so it was hidden from view. I still won a prize for my costume. ... show more

Was doing a play and we needed someone to be in colonial garb, so this fits the bill and the price. The only problem we had was that the mob cap started to lose it lace right away but after re-stitching it on twice it made it through seven shows.

I had to ride on a parade float and find a colonial costume in 3 days. Not very easy to do. This was a lifesaver, and I paired it with a long black dress, and totally did the Martha Washington look. If you happen to need a colonial style costume, cannot recommend this quick, fix enough
