Tahitan Ginger is my favorite Hempz scent but I haven't ordered this in awhile. I am not paying $29+ for a bottle of lotion. Why is it so expensive?! Ridiculously expensive! Really Hempz?

I love this Hempz line. I purchased two of the lotions, one of the pale green (original flavor?) which I gave as a gift to my friend and this one, which I kept. The Tahitian Vanilla and Ginger Herbal flavor has the same wonderful moisturizing. Even though it doesn't go on very thick, the lotion stays on your skin and it feels so lightweight, yet moisturized; clean, yet a fresh scent. I'm a huge Vanilla fan so there was no doubt in my mind that I would love the flavor I kept. But sadly, the lotion (at least to me) smells like grapefruit. And I personally don't like grapefruit, which is too bad, 'cause it's SUCH a fresh, clean scent. Bottom line? I will probably use it, since it's winter and I need lotion. But this would not be my first choice. The rest of the vanilla lovers out there, take note. BUT - this is fantastic moisturizing lotion so I recommend, whichever smell you get! :) ... show more

I started using the Hempz brand about 5 years ago when I was teaching school and needed a lotion that soaked in quickly making it easy for me to use a whiteboard for instruction. It really worked. It softened and protected my hands and left absolutely no "greasy" residue. It works really well as a total body lotion, too. I have psoriasis, and it doesn't aggravate my condition or interfere with other topicals. I really liked the "orange blossom" scent they used to have, but they no longer make it. I've been using others, but haven't been "sold," however I do like this ginger vanilla. As another reviewer mentioned,this scent is similar to Origin's ginger body spray. I used to like their body spray, so I decided to give this scent a try. It's good. Lighter than Origins, but then, it's not supposed to be perfumed. It doesn't linger,...... It's won my "new favorite" scent for Hempz. If you need a good lotion, Hempz is an exceptional brand. It's worth your trying it. ... show more
