  • Soft ground and sand solution
Color: Black/Blue
Two 14" sections of 1" PVC pipe, notch a hole into each end large enough to be able to insert the feet under mild tension. Helinox bag has plenty of room to include these two pipes, you'll never sink into the mud again.

  • Easily fits in a backpack
Color: Black/Blue
Easily fits in a backpack, very light. Low to the ground but easy to stand with a push on the sides of the chair. 3/4" cane tips fixes the soft ground problem.

  • Top notch. Pricey but worth it.
Color: Black/Blue
Top notch. it actually weighs less than stated (30oz included the 2oz sack). Practically puts itself together by shaking the legs. I found it easier getting the mesh onto the legs, but installing the bottom two first, then the back/top. It is slightly shaky, but that's just by design. I felt no worries about it breaking. It's very pricey considering there are knockoffs available on Amazon for at least half the cost. I compared and while the mesh on the knock off is slightly thinner, as are the legs (legs approx 3/32" thinner), it held me no problem (6' 0" @ 180lbs), even when twisting/rocking it. See pics. Blue is Helinox, red is a knock off available here on Amazon. ... show more

  • The. Best. Chair.
Color: Black/Blue
Wow. Just about every one of my reservations about buying this rather expensive camp chair went out the window once I received it in the mail. Tipsy? Nope. The leg width is just a bit wider than my hips, making this chair much stabler than I had imagined. It's hard to tip. Comfy? You bet. I melt into this chair. The skin is tough, yet compliant enough to hug my body snug. Restrictive? Hardly. Since the poles float a bit in the hubs and the skin floats on the ends, the end product is such that you can gently sway yourself front/back and squirm to your heart's delight. Shoddy? Yeah right. This chair is bomber. The stitching is susbstantial, and I have never seen this level of reinforcement in the corners that receive the poles...not even in $$$ tents. Inconvenient? Nope. Took me 30 sec to assemble it right out of the bag. Cake. Arm support awkwardness? Nada. My arms end up resting at my sides nicely, in large part because... Too upright? Perfectly inclined. You know that position you laze into when sitting in a normal camp chair after a long hike or climb? That's exactly the position it puts you in. Overall A+. I had such a hard time dealing the $79 pill, but I'm so glad I did. Now I just hope it is durable enough to last for the next 50 years. ... show more

  • Like it better than my Chair Zero
Color: Black/Blue
This chair amazes me every time I sit in it. I have a bad back to the point where I needed surgery, and back support is essential when it comes to folding chairs and camping chairs. For me, this keeps my lower back in a straighter position, whereas the Chair Zero tends to arch it slightly forward (think like an angry cat). With the Zero it’s as if I have to find a comfy position, while the Chair One lets me just sit, sink in, and enjoy immediate comfort. I recently purchased the Helinox Rocker Feet for the Chair One and it just took this chair to the next level! I’m absolutely in love with this chair. I’m in Tahoe right now, and I’m about to test it out by the lake. ... show more

  • Comfortable, versatile, light, sturdy!
Color: Black/Blue
First off let me start by saying, BUY THIS! I was pleasantly surprised by this chair! To me it is worth it to pack out a slightly heavier chair vs a lightweight sitting pad. Being able to lounge comfortably after hiking hours with all my gear is a blessing. I am 6'3 and 270 pounds and I spent a lot of time searching for a lightweight, easily packable, compact chair that will support me and keep me comfortable and let me tell you after lots of searching I found it in this chair right here! I find it more comfortable then my large car camping chairs with arm rests. Pros: Light Compact Easy to pack Sturdy Quick/easy to assemble and disassemble/pack Comfortable even at 6'3, 270 pounds Cons: None at this time This is nothing short of an excellent chair and I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • a bit expensive, but worth it
ok, let's get to it. this chair is low to the ground by design. this allows an incredibly light and strong chair to come in a very small package (or zippered bag as it were). i do think an XL version with longer leg segments should be designed for those with bad knees. the shorter length does allow for a stronger frame (less chance of bending). what i love about this chair is it is very comfortable. this is important as i'm a reasonably big guy at 6'1" and 205 lbs. i can stretch out while seated and not worry about breaking the chair, i can easily put on shoes or tend to chores while camping. the assembly is like a tent, but far easier. there are shock corded poles already assembled so they want to unfold back into shape, pulling the seat cover over requires a good amount of pull into the well designed reinforced corners, but that also gives structural rigidity when seated. the storage bag is well designed with lots of attachment points to a backpack, bag, bicycle, what have you. again, this is small and light, well under three pounds and can fit between a bike's handlebars or on a hydration bag. super awesome for long mtn. bike rides or just (future) waiting in line for tickets. only minus is the price ... show more

  • A good lightweight chair for backpacking or just having in the car for those kids games.
Color: Black/Blue
Ordered this chair as an alternate to the even lighter (and lower to the ground) from the same manufacturer. Goes together easily and I like that I'm a bit higher off the ground. As others may have noted, this one a little more susceptible to tipping backwards. Very light. - Updated - have been using this consistently while watching my son play various sports at practice. I really love this little chair. Once you get used to it the chair assembles in a snap. Being a bit higher off the ground makes it a bit easier to get in and out of. Only reason I don't upgrade to five stars is because the base could be a bit more wide spread (to help avoid tipping). I note that a "ground sheet" is available for this item (which I have purchased) which should help when using this chair in sandy or wet soil (to keep the feet from sinking in). ... show more
