I love these little 12 x 12 canvases. They're a fun and relaxing way to spend an afternoon and they were delivered within a week. I have a blank space between the top of my kitchen cabinets and the ceiling and these look cute there. I also love that they come stretched onto a wooden frame rather than just a rolled up piece of canvas. The paints included are good quality and the brushes are okay. I did order a separate set of extra fine brushes for the small details... NicPro Fine Detail Art Brushes. Size 3/0.

Wow!! So much fun and you can put your own spin to it. Granted it’s paint by numbers and this is my first. It’s a lot harder than it looks. It is NOT like doing a coloring book but it woke up this “artiste’” in me. At first I was a bit frustrated thinking I have to stay within the lines and it’s got to look exactly like the example and it kind of hindered me at first. But surprisingly it has taught about painting and how you can take the example, make it your own, and learn the true spirit about painting. It’s more of a guide to the example and yet teaches you at the same time. If you’re a Gen X like me it’s a perfect little hobby to start. I’m a nurse and it really takes the stress away and is relaxing to do and interesting and rewarding when you finish! Try it!! I highly recommend

This is the first paint by number I've tried. It's worth the little extra $ for the stand. I taped it to the back. You'll need to by a set of paint brushes..very small brushes. I've really enjoyed it so far. The texture holds the paint. The paint needs a good stir or it can be globby. If you're considering a few. I recommend these.

It’s cute, but it’s very tedious and difficult to paint. You have to have a tiny detail brush like a script liner 20/0 and a dotter brush and it’s even difficult with that. I’m having to use a magnifying glass to paint half of it. I am sure not enjoying myself.

The big draw is the picture; it really resonates with me. BUT the transition from original image to paint numbers is abysmal. A blue nose and white marks for forehead wrinkles is unacceptable. Thanks to YouTube videos I am encouraged to try blending techniques for skin and sky. And with other paints I’ve accumulated, I hope to develop better skin tones to substitute. The original show lots of green tints for the figure on the right but there are no green paints nor rosy highlights. That said, the reasonable price and clearly marked design image make it possible for me to excitedly tackle my project. And it already has a frame. Yeah!!
