Either I made a mistake or the measurements are not as published. I expected two 17” widths to nearly cover my 35” area between counters but there is about 12” between them. I didn’t want them to meet up in the middle and almost did not order as a result. However, they look very nice and cushion my feet while I am working in the kitchen on our stone floor. 4 stars because the mat I bought at Costco over 5 years ago is still cushier. I am using all 3, but hubby insists that the thick one goes in front of the sink where he stands.

We love that it comes in two pieces, which suits our kitchen layout very well. The longer piece goes in front of our sink and counter area with the dishwasher and the shorter piece in front of the stove. In the short time that we've had it, it worked well in terms of cleaning both under it as well as the mats themselves. We would recommend them.

Originally bought the smaller, brown mat set. Loved the thickness and material of that one but the color washed out my kitchen. Sorry, I returned it for the larger set with the black and colorful design. I love the size, much better and the color really pops in my kitchen. But for some reason this set is much much thinner. It’s not nearly as squishy and comfortable as the brown set. Also, the material is different. It’s more of a soft fabric than rubber. I’ll probably keep it because I love how it looks, but I am disappointed about the thickness.
