I purchased two of these covers to protect two outdoor sofas that we keep in our picnic pavilion. These covers were designed to go over sofas that are much larger than mine. However, because these were less expensive than the correct-sized covers I decided to go with them. The extra material can be tucked around and below the sofa. The material seems very lightweight and I can see how it might tear. However, because my sofas are under a roofed pavilion, I figured they would not suffer as much abuse. It has rained several times since installation and they have held up nicely. They have also protected the furniture from bird poop. The cover is as advertised. It’s waterproof, it’s been durable and fits true to size. I haven’t noticed any fading and it looks great even after a lot of rain. However, the only issue is sometimes it pools water on top and it doesn’t always slide down and off the cover, so you have to manually flip the chair to get the water off. This cover protects well, looks great, and definitely feels like it’ll last more than one season, unlike a few others I’ve tried. If you’re tired of dragging cushions inside every time it rains, grab this! It fits our 3-seater outdoor sofa perfectly, and I really like that there are clips on each corner to secure it to the frame. You can also tighten it with the drawstring, though that part is a bit tricky to adjust. It’s completely waterproof, we’ve had it for just over a month now and not a single drop has gotten through to the cushions.
