My friend owns a shrink-wrapping business. I've helped him wrap quite a few boats, ranging from cuddies to yachts. Spending time at the marina with him lends an eyeful of tattered, faded boat covers. That's probably why he's so successful! I've seen farm tarps, duct-taped amateur wrap jobs, canvas strap covers, and somewhat fitted covers with a drawstring. Some fare better than others. All still fade and stretch, holding water pools in their recesses. I ordered this tarp because I can't shrink wrap my hooptie glassmate open bow with it's thundering 35HP Johnson. We use it year round, trailering and draining as needed. Still, she sets outside. What I've learned about shrinkwrapping is that if the top is elevated at the highest possible point and the bottoms are perimeter-taught below the widest point, better results are at hand. This Lanlelin branded boat cover ticks all of my boxes. It's roomy enough to allow me to run a couple of padded vertical poles to allow teepee-like drainage and snow roll-off. The drawstring is a thick, durable, lockable-length cord that will hug my perimeter tightly. If that's not enough against wind gusts, I've got adjustable strapping with click-lock convenience that allows me to unsnap and roll on warm January days. The material itself is heavy, canvas-like on the exterior, with a thick rubberized lining. Seams are double-bound and double-stitched. The carrying back is a nice touch, complete with instructions sewn to the top. UV protection is included, but I'm going to "Scotchgard" it anyway. My 17' van cover weighs 4 lbs. This boat cover the same length weighs over 6lbs and includes various strapping options and rubberized undercoating. Add in the fact that cost is less than 1/2 of a big box store and less than 1/6 of a seasonal heat shrink wrap. I think it's an excellent value at $57. heavy nylon-like water resistant black fabric boat cover with a surprisingly strong elastic band around the bottom to keep it in place. unstretched it is right at 12 feet long and would easily expand 14 feet or so. Itβs also about 3 1/2 or 3 3/4 feet wide left and right and stretched so stretched should certainly accommodate standard John boat I believe. It has loops continuously down the side, and it also comes with various chords and snap latches to attach it to your boat and or trailer. Whether itβs trailerable or not, I do not know, but if I find out, I will come back and correct this. One thing I do like about it is that it has in that hard to tear material, it has a large tag that says stern or bow in the appropriate front or back spots on the cover - so youβll always know which is the front - which is kind of handy. has that welding and stitching effect on the underside and i am pleasantly surprised at how thick it is. i have an older one that is much thinner and has as a result started to tear at pressure points. i think this one will hold up to that environment better. not sure ill ever actually get it back in the bag it came in, or that i would even need to get it back in the bag, but i can say if i dont this bag which has a drawstring and sliding stop will be good to repurpose to hold other various objects, so thats a bonus. (seems like thereβs some things that once you take them out of the box of the bag that she just canβt seem to get them back in there easily and this may be one of those things but thatβs OK). should keep a smaller boat dry and clean if tied down without

I didn't pick this up for a jon boat. I picked it up because marine grade covers are built to handle heat, UV, and moisture in ways that most covers marketed for outdoor use simply aren't, and they tend to cost less than whatever is being sold specifically for the thing you're trying to cover. In this case I'm using it for pool gear, MacGyvered to fit, and it's doing exactly what I needed it to do. Protecting pool gear we stored outside because the homes here are notoriously terrible at having enough storage. The material feels heavy duty and the straps keep it from going anywhere. Florida sun and heat are not kind to outdoor covers and this one has held up without complaint. If you've ever watched a cheaper cover crack, fade, and fall apart inside of a season, which in Florida is 12 months long, you understand why this made sense. Don't let the listing limit your thinking. If you need a tough, UV resistant cover for something that lives outside year round, and down here that's a LONG list, this works. The boating crowd already knows that. Don't let them be the only ones to get the quality covers. This, at this price, is worth it.

for one I have a 17 foot boat with a more pointed bow and its shy of even fitting it correctly as its got a big more flat front end on it. Two it doesnt go down the sides very far if it was to fit the lenght correctly. 3 the material is pretty thin and cheap and not worth the price they are asking for it. The only real good thing I found is that the straps it came with are decent and I can use them to keep my current tarp I am using on it and they work well. As for the cover keep looking at this price point I dont think it will even last long in the sun and wind without tearing and failing. I threw it on top of a car cover for the time being to see how it holds up to the sun as It wont go on my boat.

βve been using this cover on a small jon boat, and so far itβs been pretty solid. The material feels thick enough that it doesnβt flap around or feel like itβll tear easily. It goes over the boat without much fighting, and the adjustable straps actually help get a snug fit instead of just relying on weight or clips alone. Once itβs tightened down, it stays put even when itβs windy. Iβve left it outside through rain and sun, and itβs kept the boat dry underneath. It also seems to shed water pretty well instead of letting it soak through. The sizing range is accurate in my case, and it covered everything without feeling too tight or too loose. I did have a little extra slack to work with, which made it easier to secure. Overall, itβs just a straightforward cover that fits and protects the boat without needing much thought. Nothing fancy, but it works.

Nice light in-season cover for my 14 ft single hand sailboat. Used primarily between uses, with a heavier tarp over winter. So far, so good this spring with it keeping water out and sealing up to keep most of the bugs and dirt out as well. The included straps are not great at holding fast, I wouldn't trust it on a trailer. But bungee cords work great for my use case. And they're probably fine if it's just sitting outside or in a garage. Overall durability seems alright as well - thin material, so not for heavy weather or winter storage in my opinion.
