I made a wood top to insert a Weber BBQ, and the last time, I let the hot briskets after the cooking for a while, and the wood caught fire. After replacing the burnt wood, I protected the rim and the underneath with this product and another one. I cut the shield open, for the rim custom made installation, and it works great! Narrow mouth and no way to open the side. Gotta thread it over the pipe, wire, or cable you're trying to protect. Adequate, however, just be very sure how thick your cable/wire/pipe is since you can't stretch this stuff.

This stuff cleans up my engine bay. I used it to cover rubber hoses connecting to my heater, pcv and brake booster. If you order the correct Size to cover the OD of your hoses it works well. I cut the shielding about an 3/16 short on both sides and used electrical take on the ends to prevent fraying and covered the tape with hose clamps. Looks very clean and tidy. ... show more
