As far as them breaking, they are very sturdy and hold up to a bit of banging around on counter tops and in the sink. I like them because they don't make a big statement. I was pretty upset that one each of the large and small glasses came broken. Luckily, the 10 that remained are enough for my household. They are on the thinner side, but get the job done.
