Description

He Came is based on the Christmas narrative from God’s Word. It is filled with biblical truths that highlight the events surrounding the birth of Christ. The content of this book is framed using a simple alphabet book format. Do not let the simplicity of the A-Z order keep you from experiencing the awe of the Christmas story. Each letter presents a focal point of the narrative, which is expanded upon with brief yet informative comments. These entries unpack historical background or context, a theological concept, or even sometimes the common use of a letter from the Greek alphabet. The Scripture references on every page ensure the biblical accuracy of the text. Set in stunning watercolor paintings, each page will encourage readers and listeners alike to engage in conversations that foster knowing God and his Word. Read more

  • Wonderful Presentation of the True Christmas Story
Format: Paperback
This family Christmas reader is truly a joy to read! Don't let the large font fool you into thinking that this is a simplified book mainly for children, because it's not. It is perfect for young and old alike who may want to learn more about all aspects of the birth of Jesus, but in a very concise way. Scripture references throughout the text assure you that it aligns with God's Word and the historical background given throughout is also particularly fascinating. It’s evident that Joanne Jung wrote this out of her deep love for Jesus, our Savior, and a heartfelt desire to share Him with everyone! ... show more

  • Compelling Christmas Reflections for Everyone in the Family
Format: Paperback
Over the past 3 years, I've had a front row seat to Joanne Jung's work on this Christmas reader. We interacted over each and every one of the entries as she thought them up and wrote them out, so I know how much of her heart is in each one. This isn't a run-of-the-mill children's book with watered down paraphrases and fancifications of the most famous (and sometimes fabricated) Gospel birth narratives. These are deep contextual and theological reflections on many of the wondrous realities of Jesus' first coming. You'll get academic-level insights, succinctly distilled into very readable, but no less profound accounts. I encourage you to grab a copy and use it for many future Christmas seasons of reflection on what it means that God became human for us and for our salvation when Jesus came into the world. ... show more
