This is actually my 6th KVM switch because none of them could actually perform like they advertised. I have a 4k monitor capable of 240 Hz and none of the other 5 switches could manage more than 60 Hz without corrupting the video signal. I tried 2 DisplayPort signal boosters which got me to 75 Hz, but not more. This little jewel, however, has no problem getting me to my monitor’s full 240 Hz at the full 4k resolution. The button to switch computers works quickly at about 3 seconds and works consistently. No problems with my gaming performance Logitech kbd and mouse (some KVM’s struggle with these high bandwidth dongles). I’ve tried KVM’s that cost $350 and this little $70 guy is the only one that works as advertised of the 6 I tried. At least for me. ... show more

Not sure why, but on my laptop, the keyboard doesn't work when plugged into the designated keyboard usb port, it however works when I moved it to one of the usb 3 hub ports. This KVM switch does allow for the ability to swap between two computers to use the same monitor and devices. However, it does sometimes not like to switch when you hit the top button or button that you plug in. On other days, it works just fine. I haven't figured out why it might be as temperamental as it is, but for the most part, I can work with it. I like that it has 3.0 USB ports which can allow for faster transfer rates of storage drives or other devices that are hooked up to it. This powered KVM switch takes a 5v power supply which comes included. It comes with two USB-A to USB-B cables, the latter of which is a required port connector for this KVM switch. Last addition to note, is a wired remote that plugs into the device so you won't have to physically reach the device to switch between two machines which is convenient. Overall experience is as plug-and-play as you can get. Just plug the appropriate cords from the machines to the switch and hook up the monitor and other peripherals like keyboard and mouse and now you can control two with only a single set of peripherals. I ordered this to test new hardware on a single workstation which saves me time, effort, and money at the end of the day. To close, I love the metal construction on this switch and time spent with this has been nothing but a turn-key experience. It's currently on sale at the time of writing so I'd add value to its list of strengths as elaborated thus far. 5 out of 5 stars, heavily recommended. ... show more

When it works, it's working fine, i.e. I can switch between my 2 computers (video, keyboard and mouse). However, the moment I switch one of my computers off, my problems begin. It just turns everything off and the video doesn't come back again. I'll be returning this device soon...

I can say this KVM switch works great! I use it with my main PC and a laptop i have on the side. being able to use the same keyboard and mouse along with the monitor is a g0d send. Easy switch from one to the other with out missing a beat. I wish i had picked this up much sooner then i did.

This product will allow you to pass control of an HDMI monitor connection and USB peripherals between the outputs of two machines. I plan to use this to switch between two windows machines. Everything connected fine and the switching function works as expected. The design and workmanship is unremarkable and similar to many other products on the market.
