Hayward PSV3SDGR PVC 3-Way Diverter Valve From the Manufacturer Hayward PSV3SDGR PVC 3-Way Diverter Valve The 2-way and 3-way full-flow PSV diverter valves make water flow management simple and easy. The full-flow valves are available with either a 1-1/2-Inch or 2-Inch internal fit. Sturdy CPVC construction ensures a long life and resistance to higher temperatures. The handle is removable without tools and allows for quick and easy port customization. The PSV3SM features three externally threaded ports for use with SP1500UNPAK1, which is included with the valve.

The valve does what it is supposed to do. I like the ability to re-index the valve to make it block the ports that I want it to. I am using it as a diverter and bypass valve for my new pool heater and it does the job well. It is setup to divert some or all of the water when required away from the heater. At one point I needed to shut off the water to the heater and when set in that position, I was able to disconnect the heater from the system with the filter running and it didn't leak a drop. The handles can also be locked in position and I like that as well. The valve bonded solidly to PVC pipe with PVC / CPVC glue which made my life easier. ... show more

Needed a 3-way valve to allow suction from my pool skimmer and newly installed bottom drains. Due to piping layout at the pump, I needed to reconfigure the valve ports (which is fully selectable with this valve) and the ability to throttle the suction from the bottom drains to ensure adequate skimmer action. This valve works perfectly and I have no leakage past the actuator (stem) handle as I have encountered with other 3-way valves in the past.
