Sounds like I got lucky with the chemical smell issue. Or they resolved it. I’m really sensitive to scents (I always know if the delivery driver smokes, for example). I haven’t beat the pavement but they are massive comfort for a light walk around. Look as photographed. Dark grey reads dusky blue-grey to my eyes. These are a decent compromise when you want all the ease of ultra comfy shoes but need to take it up a notch. Not the most fashionable but they aren’t offensive. I’d recommend giving them a go.

Great knit flats labeled as “purple”, but it’s more of an orchid shade, which is lovely & matches several wardrobe items. Order your normal size; the toe box can be a bit snug otherwise. There’s only one reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, & that’s the strong chemical smell emanating from these shoes—either the insides or the soles! Hopefully, they will “air out” in a few days so I can enjoy wearing them with a few late-summer outfits!

UPDATED: after a week of 'airing' these shoes out, I have been forced to return them. The plastic chemical smell was simply intolerable. I will update this post in a few days. I love the color, which is as bright as shown. I ordered a half size down, thinking that the fabric would stretch. They are snug, but comfortable--I wore them around the house for a few hours to test them. However, the strong chemical odor emanated from the package upon arrival. I put them in an unused room to 'air' them out. This is the third day, and they still smell. I'm hoping the smell will dissipate, but if it doesn't, I'll have to send them back.
