Unbelievable

Hands down the best shave. I have a very course beard and have tried every type of shaving product on the market. I had used Harry’s razors before but they would only stay sharp for a few days but the Harry’s Plus blades have blown me away. I get a close smooth shave now for over 2 weeks per blade. The price is just the icing on the cake.

Honestly, ...I did not truly know what I was missing !!!!

So, I had recently heard that Harry's had developed their second generation razor. I was not a user of their first. It just did not win me over based on my research and reviews. Well, when I heard the second generation was out with a weighted handle and new engineering of the blades - I said, what the heck. So I received them back in late May 2026 and from the first shave I was like WOW!!!. The wife also noticed how close the save was and how smooth it left my face. Up until May of 2026, I had been using the G-word razor with their 5 blade super-duper wamie design. Quite frankly, over the years I stopped looking for a better shave thinking this was it. But I was SO WRONG !! The Harry's razor is well weighted with a narrower head than the G-word. But I think its this narrow head along with the redesign of their special German made blades and especially the spacing of the blades that the razor just glides on my face. I have a typical facial hair with the sensitive skin after I shave. After using Harry's 2nd generation razor, I haven't had to use my balm for my face anymore. I do not get the cuts or nicks or missing hairs that my wife used to point out to me. In fact, there were several hairs that just below my nose I was always afraid to shave since the G-word razor would always nick me there and it HURT!. The other hairs were around the corners of my mouth but turned side ways into my mouth and shaving them was always a challenge. I would just use the wife's tweezers to pluck them out ever couple of weeks of growth - that's the only time I could see them actually as their were white and small for some reason. Not like the rest of my facial hair. Well, there you have it folks - men as well as women alike. I love this new razor and I purchased some more replacement blades recently. Also, the wife has tried it on her legs and she's having the best of times too!! Who knew?

Best razor I’ve used

I’d seen a couple of commercials for this razor where they were hyping it up as amazing. I bought it because I’ve been using the previous version of the Harry’s razor for about 2-3 years and it had done a good job. (After ditching Gillette). I didn’t expect anything special. However, I was extremely impressed! By far the best razor Ive ever used. The pivoting head really does make a huge difference. Using other razors it was rough and irritating shaving my chin. This new Harry’s razor pivots effortlessly and without any roughness. It’s worth the hype.

Closer shave with less effort

I rely somewhat on customer reviews. If it’s crappy in my opinion, I’ll share. In this case, I want to share a very positive review. I had 3 days growth when I received my Harry’s Plus. This was the absolutely most closest blade shave I’ve had. Harry’s hands down beats G5 by a long shot. Fewer swipes with Harry’s than other competitors. The handle was comfortable and not a lightweight like that brand I won’t purchase any longer. Fusion something. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been using Harry's Plus for about 2 months and found it to be a good product. I bought this Amazon "Value Pack" because I could us a backup handle and blade cover and, most importantly, it was being offered at 40% off ($16.41) with Subscribe & Save. That made it a no-brainer in my mind since the per blade cost was under $2 and included the handle and blade cover. Compare that to the current Subscribe & Save price of $27.59 for 10 blades.

Rare review. Worth it

I have been thinking about leaving this review for a month of using the original blade that came attached to this razor. Been shaving for 56 years now, this is by far the best razor I have owned. One thing, the handle gets slippery when/if you shave in the shower like me. But the blades overcome that minor flaw. Wish there were more options for handles.

Good razor but needs improvement!

Update: It's still a good razor, but if I let my facial hair grow for a few days, the thicker whiskers tend to clog the blades. At that point, I have to bang the razor against the sink to clear it—and not gently, either. It takes a pretty hard whack to get the hair out.!
