This Maroon colored Harry Potter sweatshirt has great contrasting graphics, good stitching all around, and the material has a medium thickness. The material on the item listing is French terry (not synthetic fleece) and with 60% polyester and 40% cotton so it washes up well and has minimal shrinking. The color is a Gryffindor maroon with a bit of a purplish tint to it, so don't confuse it with a fire engine red or anything. I tried to include a photo next to a red box to show both the texture and the color, but it is difficult to capture reds in a photo and your personal device's screen settings may influence how the colors in the photo are displayed. The fit is good for us- definitely more athletic fit than oversized. If your kiddo is in a growth spurt, size up. This is a great lightweight sweatshirt for spring or fall, and would be good for extra layering in the winter. We are big fans at our house, so this will be much loved. We are pretty happy with this sweatshirt and would recommend it to others. ... show more

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. She loves it and it’s decent quality so I’m relatively happy, but it’s on the small side - normally she wears a 7-8, but this fits her more like a 6-7 (still “fits” but exposing wrists and just barely long enough at the waist). It’s a nice long sleeve shirt but don’t expect a sweatshirt - it’s definitely not fleece. So it’s lighter weight than it looks. ... show more
