Wow!!! This candle and brand are amazing. So far, I’ve tried Josephine and Speakeasy and I am so impressed with both. I placed a massive order on their website for more. The scents are complex and beautiful. I’ve really never smelled anything quite as lovely. I use my candle warmer daily and have a large collection of candles, but I now only want to burn Harlem Candle Co candles. I was so hesitant to purchase because of the cost. I do have some other candles that are higher priced that I got on sale half price and like them, so I’m familiar with a wide range of prices. I think these candles are on point. I love candles and shop around quite a bit. I ordered Langston. Scent is warm and comfy… mixture of sandalwood , leather and vanilla. Sandalwood is the prominent note. The jar is pretty basic, nothing special. It’s pricey and I think if you shop around you could find equal quality at better price point. The Soi Co. has several great smelling candles like Cake For Breakfast that smell even better and are more affordable. Also Voluspa Cherry Gloss smells so good - also expensive - but I feel the beautiful decorative jar makes it a better overall deal. I save the jars and use them with other candles or to hold q-tips, pens etc. ... show more

A friend gifted me one of these candles a few months ago and it's been hard to purchase others since. Not only do they burn long, and goes through every square inch of the room, and they are clean....no soot on my walls and ceilings! Probably better for my lungs too!
