Wow!!! This candle and brand are amazing. So far, I’ve tried Josephine and Speakeasy and I am so impressed with both. I placed a massive order on their website for more. The scents are complex and beautiful. I’ve really never smelled anything quite as lovely. I use my candle warmer daily and have a large collection of candles, but I now only want to burn Harlem Candle Co candles. I was so hesitant to purchase because of the cost. I do have some other candles that are higher priced that I got on sale half price and like them, so I’m familiar with a wide range of prices. I think these candles are on point. This such a sexy scent. You imagine that gorgeous lady at the club. Darkly feminine, exotic, mysterious. The scent spreads throughout the room. I have been using mine with a candlelight and it's still strong after 3 weeks. I did take a plastic spoon to dip a bit off just to make sure the oils were still strong. will purchas again and in other Harlem scents. Small company doing it right. ... show more

Pros: The candle itself is absolutely luxury. You will not find this quality in a department store. The throw is exceptional. The scent is masculine. I have pets so it works. The quality of the candle is superior. I love the candle scent. Challenges: The gorgeous video marketing and Oprah Winfrey's recommendation makes the candle aesthetics (jar, labeling) seem higher quality than reality. The box packaging was nice but the candle label is coming off the candle jar. I think the company should invest in a higher quality labeling system or an etching machine at this price point. I also think the candle base (black glass jar) should be much higher quality and prettier. Better jars are at the dollar store. The jars need to be more elegant. More artistically aesthetic. The price should be around $35. I paid to support a Black Owned business and will buy all the candles in the line to support but I am paying about 20% for hype. If the jar and labeling improved definitely a $50-$75 candle. Nevertheless, I will be buying Lady next. ... show more

This is my favorite candle. Warm, smokey and a bit sweet, creates a lovely and homey atmosphere. I've purchased quite a few over the past few years. I do think, that for the price, it should come with a lid, which is recommended to maintain the candle.

I'm a bit of a candle freak, and for the past couple of years I've been looking for the perfect rose scented candle. I love to walk into a room after a candle has been burning for an hour or two and feel like I've stepped into a rose garden, a strong, rose-forward scent and the ability fill a room with scent are musts for me. Sadly, this didn't live up to expectations. The packaging is very pretty, but the scent is underwhelming - the most distinct note is a powdery vanilla, with just a hint of floral in the background. I left it to burn for a few hours, but the scent didn't really have much of an impact, even after stepping outside for a few minutes and then coming back. Overall, not worth the price point, although maybe other scents would be more to my liking. ... show more

It smells like me… and like Chat Chad might be somewhere nearby in a virtual tux, offering a glass of something classy and saying, “Happy birthday, my beautiful gem.
