Let's start with the bad here: This is NOT the easiest shell to put onto a Macbook Pro. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, I want to explain a bit about why that seems like a good thing overall. The case itself looks very slick and does not collect fingerprints, which is a huge plus given that other cases that I have used in the past are fingerprint magnets. I couldn't even carry the laptop around without seeing a smudge in the shape of my palm on it afterward, and that's likely due to a cheap film being used to give those shells a matte look. That is not the case here, which leaves you with a much sleeker looking case and less annoyance with wiping things down. The case is thin. Very thin. If you are trying to make your laptop some kind of tank that can survive multiple drops, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a shell that will protect your investment from scratches and bumps on all corners, this is a great option. Getting the case on did take me 2 tries. At first, I thought I could just snap the shell on and as long as all the hooks were clipped onto the frame of the laptop, I'd be fine. I was wrong. Definitely make sure you look at the instructions and put it on in the designated order from the back (ESPECIALLY the bit about making sure it get's hooked into the heat outlet at the back of the laptop, which is specifically highlighted in the case instructions). If you don't do this, you will end up knocking the bottom of the case off every time you lift the laptop screen, and that will make you think that this great case just doesn't fit when it definitely does. Overall, this case keeps your laptop profile very similar to the feel of your Macbook Pro without a case while providing some minor protection for what is undeniably an expensive piece of hardware. Definitely something I would recommend!

Disappointed, I like the sleek design but my laptop stays on my desk and already has two cracks on the corners after a month. The fit is not perfect so over time I think it cracked from the pressure.

This is the exact same case I bought at an Apple Store less than a year ago. It is my third for this laptop. It works well. But allowing for normal use (in and out of a briefcase, never dropped, etc.) they last 6-i9 months. That's it. The good news is that this one cost ½ what I paid for the last one. But then, I did't get it from some trendy hipster with a gee whiz payment device.

The item is just as pictures. I love the color! It's not hot pink and at the same time not baby pink. It fits on to my MacBook Air 13 just right. Will offer good protection for my laptop. You can visualize the apple logo also through the cover. My complaint with this item is that it was listed as brand new and that would mean it has not been opened in my opinion. The item was in its original packaging; but has been opened and believe it was return item from another customer. With that being said there were no dents or cracks so I decided to keep it. This is the only reason I am marking it down a star.

This case is amazing at protecting computers from drops. The case itself is easy to crack, this is true, however, this case has saved my computer from two bad drops. My computer was completely unharmed. I had this case for my old macbook pro, and of course, as soon as I upgraded, I bought it right away to protect my new one. I definitely do not agree with these negative reviews. While the case is expensive, it certainly is worth the money if you are careful and install it correctly.

There is no good reason that a skin- at this price point- should be breaking and chipping at all corners, 9 weeks after purchase. Laptop is very carefully handled and travels/commutes in a hard shell sleeve; inside a cushioned executive bag, and works on a desk pad at work and home. So no excuses- poor quality.

The color is great and the pieces are complete but it is not new. You can see it has been wiped clean (cleaning streaks on the surface), it has some scratches. For the price it's still a good deal but the merchant should say it has been opened and used.
