Ordered this on prime day for half of what the regular price is. Opened it up and it feels pretty sturdy. Used it to remove bolts on my valve cover and also hose clamps. Did the job well. Only thing is the head gets hot pretty quick. Hoping it won’t cause it to fail but good product so far

Drill/drivers can do the job just as effectively as this but where this has an advantage is it can get into spaces a driver can't simply because of it's design. Some automotive work and some handyman work are great uses for this tool. It worked well for tightening some garage door rail nuts where there wasn't enough room to use a drill/driver. Decent power, not the strongest but fair. You can hand tighten some more while the tool is still in place. It's not so big that average sized hands can't wrap around it. Build quality is pretty good. I'm really liking this 12v cordless ratchet and wish I'd bought one years ago (I considered it several times actually). It seriously speeds up time getting fasteners removed or installed to the point of torquing. Recent projects I used it on was a patio furniture set that had a ton of nuts and bolts, a base for a large umbrella, and a lawn mower engine. It was so much faster to do all of those projects than if I had used manual hand tools. I didn't have any problems operating it in different positions. No issues pressing the trigger switch. It's a great unit and I don't have much to pick on it about. I think my biggest issue is the ft lb rating. Manufacturer claims 40 ft lbs. I did a cobbled up experiment where I torqued a fastener to 40 ft lb. The ratchet will give it a bump and then quit. So I tried 20, 25, then 30 ft lbs. 25 ft lbs is about tops where it will break it loose and continue loosening it. 30 ft lbs required a couple bumps of the trigger and it broke loose. I don't really care that it can only produce 25-30 ft lbs but I don't like "optimistic" advertising. I use it manually to break loose a fastener then pull the trigger to zip it off. The rest of the kit is okay, nothing special. A small assortment of sockets, a slotted and Phillips bit, 3/8"-1/4" adapter, manual 3/8" ratchet, charger, 2 batteries. I wish the slotted bit was a bit wider, it's pretty narrow. The manual ratchet isn't terrible, it's usable. Handle is actually decent to hold. My gripe with it, as with other cheap ratchets, is that the selector is reversed compared to US and name brand options. However, the accessories aren't really what makes this item good, they're just nice accessories to have in a kit if you choose to leave in the plastic box. The 12v ratchet is nice and does an amazing job for what it is, but I don't appreciate the false numbers for torque rating. Thanks for reading. ... show more

Not variable speed trigger as advertised....it goes from 0 to a 100 no way to control the speed..good way to strip a bolt or threads.
