It makes picking things up so much easier. I need to add chain shorteners like higher end versions have. It is difficult when all the chains are the same length and the attachment points are not on the same level.

I purchased this chain sling so that I could connect 4 horizontal plate lifting clamps to my hoist to move heavy sheet goods from the pallet to the plasma table. I can now safely move 4'x8' sheets of steel weighing over 150lb easily and accurately to a table waist high. I've been using this unit for about 6 months now and it has been working great. No signs of wear or corrosion. When I purchased this unit the chains were too long for my application. All you need to shorten the length of the chain is a punch and a hammer to push out the roll pin. Cut the chain to length and reinstall the hook. Make sure you use new roll pins. ... show more
