Bought this kitchen set to use with the brand new wooden Ikea Flisat dollhouse. I was concerned about whether or not the scale of the furniture would work with the dollhouse since they're not made to go together, but they work great! All the little details (like the coffee maker, pots and pans, and tea towel) are so realistic and cute. We're giving this to my daughter (assembled inside the dollhouse) for her 2nd birthday on Saturday and I can't wait to see her reaction! This is a super cute set! Love the colors -- they're retro yet modern looking and not kitschy at all. I imagine this set will go well with whichever standard 1:12 dollhouse you put it in and it's easy mix-and-match'able with other dollhouse sets, Hape's own or not. My 2.5 year old LOVES playing with this. There're so many imaginary scenarios she can come up with because this set has some really cool features and accessories: all the doors open and close (i.e. oven, cupboard, fridge) and the accessories can be placed wherever you like (these consist of a sauce pan, pot, kitchen towel, and what looks like a blender/coffee machine). I've included a picture of how the set looks in the Le Toy Van dollhouse, as well as placed a Melissa & Doug doll next to it so you get an idea of size. Beware, however, the doll itself is large large (5"+). Love the fact that it's all wood and the manufacturer claims the paint is food-grade. Happy with my purchase! ... show more

Simple colors and design are attractive on these pieces. Refrigerator is one door with little design to appear as separate freezer and fridge sections, cabinets under sink open as well as the oven door. Little towel, pot with lid, pan, and mixer are fine, but easily choking hazards for younger children. Remove those little accessories and this set would be great for a wide age range. Though, it is listed as 1:12 scale, they seem slightly small. It's a little fiddly to open drawers and put things in/remove from oven. My kiddo is also more interested in dolls dancing or changing clothes right now, so the set is not played with often. I think us adults like it more than she does! ... show more

    • Perfect Addition to the Hape Doll House!
We got this to along with serval other furniture sets to go with the Hape Doll House we got our daughter. We looked at many doll houses before settling on this one. I wanted one that was wood and would look nice in a play room or in our living room. (We move often and were looking for flexibility). We got this for our 3 ½ year old for Christmas and she was just the right age for it. She was fully into pretend play and ready for a doll house. There were some very small pieces included I do remove when younger children are around though. I hope to have many years of use out of this doll house. ... show more

These are so cute! I bought these for the Melissa and Doug fold and go castle- they won’t all fit in one room but they do fit in the castle. Hape dollhouse sets are a tad bigger than Melissa and Doug, but these still fit and they are lovey. I felt like they were priced well too and that they are unisex. ... show more

This set gave some soul to my daughter's Melissa and Doug dollhouse. The house is adorable but the furniture is mostly blah. This kitchen set fits well except that there are now some pieces that get left out as it's just too much furniture for the tiny kitchen. The Calico Critters are just a little too tall to really do any cooking but that's okay because my daughter still prefers to use the oven as a boat for them to ride around in. ... show more

Love it. I purchased eight sets of furniture for my granddaughter's doll house and she loves all of them. She is 2 1/2. Her neighbor who is 8 years old and also loved playing with it. I also purchased several doll figures from HABA which fit the Hape furniture.
