    • English Country Cottage meets Modern Farmhouse
This botanical Strawberry Thief wallpaper is very substantial THICK vinyl wallpaper. The texture is lovely, washable, and durable. The adhesive is perfect for my drywall install. I use the rectangular eraser type of cleaning pad with warm water and then let it dry thoroughly before installing wallpaper on drywall. Make sure to remove any debris by wiping down with paper towels afterward. I am using for a kitchen install and it is more than worthy and up to the task. I am attempting a rather unusual install. I will be applying one strip only, right above my peninsula. I feel that more than that would be overkill, as it is a very bold print. It is extremely popular all over England and I am all about the English country cottage look meets modern farmhouse. Will look spectacular with my black farmhouse pendent lights. Originally an 1800s English Textile print by William Morris, who observed these birds from his cottage window, this wallpaper is truly an art piece, and I believe should be treated as such. It comes in different colorways and slightly different interpretations, but I found this one the most versatile and visually appealing as my adjoining dining room is green. The 17.7 inch wide piece will be flanked all around with wooden molding painted black. Please keep your fingers crossed for the mitering, it scares me! I am currently replacing the painted 1950s wooden molding in my bathroom with waterproof white vinyl, so I am repurposing. When I was in England I saw the Strawberry Thief everywhere, in Marks & Spencer, at Waitrose, I even saw it in the giftshop at the Salisbury Cathedral and I loved it every time. But I was pretty short on cash and space (my suitcase was at capacity) so I knew I couldn't get anything larger than a postcard to bring home. But this peel and stick wallpaper is simply the best, now I can have the strawberry thief anywhere I want in my home! This is really quality paper, it has a nice gridline pattern on the backing and the paper itself is thick and slightly textured, sorta like if paper and linen had a baby. The colors are even prettier in person, the strawberries a lovely red with delicate pink seeds and the birds eyes are well defined and noticeable. A few iterations of the Strawberry Thief had a lot more muted colors, with browns, ambers and maize, I really hate colors like that, so 1977, I prefer the more traditional colors that William Morris chose when he first designed this pattern after seeing the thrushes stealing strawberries from his garden in Oxfordshire. The blues of the flowers and deepest midnight blue background are so striking and they look amazing in almost every room. In William Morris' day, this repeating pattern was used on curtains and cushions, and was his most popular design. The wallpaper has a good amount of stickiness, but I almost lost a piece because there was some cat hair on the surface I was trying to cover, so just a reminder, you really, really need to clean your surface BEFORE using peel and stick wallpaper. ... show more

I am so pleased with the print on this peel and stick, it has a lot of color and detail but it's still really readable. It's also super easy to apply and comes off very clean. I needed to adjust it in a couple places and when I had to peel it and stick it back on it didn't affect the adhesion at all. It's also easy to clean and wipable which I love. I was worried that it might be a little bit busy so I picked a more muted wallpaper to go with it and just use it as an accent but I have a little bit left over then I'll probably line some drawers with it's so pretty. ... show more

I love William Morris designs, so I was happy to find this paper. It is beautiful. The paper seems to be good quality. It feels substantial, and it is easy to handle. The small 1/2" grid printed on the backing paper makes it easy to cut straight lines and shapes. I am using this paper for craft purposes, so I can't comment on how well it would work on a wall, but it definitely works well on furniture, and I expect it to stick well on other wood/particle board, plastic, and metal. ... show more

Thick and easy to apply with guides on the back. Used to accent the back wall of a book case and the print gives such a cool pop. Not an exact replica of the OG Strawberry Thief of course but pretty darn close. Gives the exact same vibes and the small details in the print look great.

The first time I saw this wall paper I had to have it. The title alone "strawberry theif" sealed the deal. My plan is to use the paper for a project Im doing. Im repurposing a wooden closet and I thought this paper would be perfect. It's truly beautiful and the detail is really entricate. I can't wait to get started.
