  • what a difference
just put these tires up front on my van. Having had the van for almost 2 years, I knew how the original tires rode like. LT tires. I bought the van to take my dobermans with me when I go out. They were killing my Cadillac. I removed all the seats to give them lots of room. The front end mechanic said the tires were worn unevenly and thats why the van was all over the road, pulling to the left then the right. even with a perfect alignment. Researching for a replacement, most came in at 150 each and up. They were also LT tires. Since I have no intentions of carrying a heavy load, much less than 1.5 tons, I wanted a really smooth, car like ride. Driving a DeVille will spoil you. I came upon these Hankook tires by accident and saw that they were 108S rated. The load capacity was just what I was looking for and the S was more than just fine with me. From the very first mile, I was convinced it was a smart move. Smooth, quiet, and did not pass along to the steering wheel, every wrinkle on the road. I hope the love affair continues and for the money, a FANTASTIC value. Now months later I'm still very happy with these tires. Smooth ride. ... show more

  • Pretty good tires - balance well, no radial runout.
Great tires. Put these on a 1978 Lincoln Mark V, you know, pretty much the largest coupe ever made! I used refurbed Keystone rims, so everything is nice and straight and true. Balanced with 1/2 to 1 once here and there, rims were spot on statically balanced (single plane) out of the box, so the uniformity of the tires is very good. Radial runout is about 0.05 on the center rib, which is pretty incredible. Set up the dial indicator and everything to verify that these tires were not out of round before they ever had any weight on them (no sitting flatspots). Traction is fine for a 1978 Lincoln land yacht. Wet traction seems Ok too, but not driving the land yacht too aggressively. Whitewalls are white after a bit of scrubbing. The white stripe was coated with the blue stuff, and then blue tape on top of that. Took a bit of soap and water and voila...white. Running 36 psi on 235/75-15s. Lincoln, back in the day, recommended 24 PSI for HR78-15's (now 225/75-15) or LR78-15's (now 235/75-15) front, 28 PSI rear. I have another old car that also called for 26 PSI in the front, 28 PSI in the back. Talk about mush, but comfy for sure. Tires came marked with red and yellow dots for match mounting. My tire guy put yellow near the stems, and most tires took only 1/2 oz to balance. At 70 mph, no shimmy, nothing...like sitting on your couch in the land yacht! Overall impressed, we'll see about wear, but initial impressions are good. ... show more

  • For my 1996 Roadmaster
After seeing previous reviews saying this fit the Roadmaster's I decided to give it a try. My RM OE size is 235/70/15. Problem with that size is they don't make it with WSW anymore unless you buy Coker or Vogue which are way more money than I wanted to spend. These tires are one size up, therefore, Amazon says doesn't fit. But they do! This is my first time buying tires that don't say 'Made in USA' on them and I have to say I'm very impressed with the quality for the price. These are considered entry level tires but don't be fooled. Comparing them to the set of Goodyear Integrity's (also entry level tires) which are on my other car, I have to say the Hankook's are made better. The actual sidewall of the tire is thicker and can't be punctured as easily as the Integrity's. These also have a 70k guarantee. I had narrowed it down to these and the Cooper Trendsetter WSW in this size but the Trendsetter's didn't even have a mileage guarantee which was a major turn off. Overall, so far I'm happy with these. Now the test will be durability. These tires go on a car which sits out in the Miami sun 24/7 and gets only 1-2k miles a year. The tires will eventually need changing again from dry rot not from tread wear. They need to last at least 6 years before having to change from dry rot otherwise they weren't made very durable. Only time will tell. Will report back whenever it starts to dry rot. ... show more

  • awesome deal!
was very happy with this item . at first i thought hankook was some generic brand and i just wanted a new tire instead of purchasing an expensive one or a used one i searched for the least expensive new tire i could find. i figured it would be maybe not as good as a more popular brand but at least it would be brand new instead of a used one. i recieved the tire and it seemed fine . then i later discovered that hankook is a leading force in the advancement of tire technology and paving the way for tires of the future and i realized that i was privileged to recieve a tire from what is a revolutionary company for such a low price. which gave me the confidence to say i have an awesomew tire for an awesome price! i am on a very low budget income and i could only afford one tire at a time and it was a little frustrating to find when i went to purchase my second one that it was only available for prime members which i am not however this purchase was a great deal and the only option for me to recieve a new tire ... show more

  • Awesome Tires For The Price
I've used Hankook's on my Jeep for over seven years and when it was time for new ones I went with Hankook again. My choice was based on past experience along with my current less than 'paid' state. The tires are quiet and the handling is great if you keep your ride in shape. The tires last and they don't dry-rot like other tires with harder rubber and water content in the mix (like Michelin's). I only had to replace my old Hankook's because they were starting to have fine cracks in between the tread after seven years! For the money you can't go wrong with these tires. The tires I received were fresh (there is a week & year code on every tire, you just have to know where to look.) Three tires were from late November of last year (that's a fresh tire) and one tire was from late February of this year. In summary it is not a waste of money for these tires. ... show more
