bear in mind that i gained so much weight in my STOMACH (due to injuries and illness mostly) that i now NEED to cover my belly in clothing. so this pique knit is a nice weave and weight for 4-season wear b/c you can just wear a thermal under in winter. if you're preppy and want the stand up collar, it will but it's not ideal. looked weird buttoned to the top too, almost as if the collar is a slight too small. but it's how i wore it first time out. you may be able to get a 2nd wear before washing unless you happen to be a heavy sweater. i got an XL which is giant, but most likely it will shrink somewhat being mostly cotton. only wish it had a pocket. ... show more

I’ve been wearing this size for 20+ years and I’ve never had a problem with it being too tight or too short. Thank goodness I’ve lost some weight otherwise these wouldn’t fit at all. If it was only one of the three I bought, I would say it was a fluke, but all three of them were fitting exactly the same. Luckily, I’m only using them for farm work so it’s not critical that they look nice and neat but buyers need to know that they are shorter than shown in the picture and they tend to run about a size too small. ... show more

I wear a 2x but ordered a 3x in case they ran small. The shirt tag says 3x but it fit like a 1x or smaller. Wayyy too small. I'm returning it. I know nothing about the quality otherwise, as I never wore it. Just sent it right back.

i purchased two of these about five months ago. i wear them to work multiple times a week. they haven’t faded in the wash in the five months that i’ve had them. the fit is great; maybe a little short but that’s how i like it. the buttons are durable and have just the right amount of spacing. the fabric is really soft and comfy. you can’t go wrong with hanes. great value for the money. ... show more
