I purchased this T-shirt on Black Friday at a really low price because I was looking for just a simple one-color shirt to wear underneath hoodies during the winter. I wanted something comfortable, soft, and something that wouldn’t shrink immediately after washing it. I also wanted it to be versatile enough where I could either layer it or just wear it by itself around the house or out running errands. At first, I honestly didn’t know what Hanes meant by “Beefy-T,” but after getting it, I completely understand the name now. This is a thick T-shirt, and I mean that in a good way. The material feels substantial and much higher quality than a lot of the thinner shirts out there right now. As a bigger guy, finding T-shirts can honestly be very hit or miss. Sometimes an extra large doesn’t really feel like a true extra large, and the sizing gets weird the bigger you go. This shirt actually felt roomy in a comfortable way. It had coverage to it. I felt warm wearing it, and it almost seemed intentionally made a little beefier and more relaxed fitting, which worked perfectly for me. It ended up being extremely comfortable underneath a hoodie because of the softness and thickness, but it also looked perfectly fine wearing it by itself too. For the price I paid, I was honestly impressed with the quality. The 6.1 oz. jersey cotton is soft and breathable, and it gets even softer with every wash. It's not too thin or too thick, just the right weight for year-round wear. Plus, the full-cut fit gives you plenty of room to move without feeling constricting. Durability: This tee is built to last. The double stitching at the sleeves and hem holds up well to washing and wear, and the non-chafe fabric taping reinforces the neck and shoulders. I haven't experienced any shrinking or fading, even after several washes. Style: The Hanes Beefy-T comes in a whopping 30 colors, so you're sure to find one (or a few!) that you love.     • Look and feel GREAT. Not as durable as I had hoped.

These shirts look and feel fantastic. They are heavy without being stiff, feel very comfortable and soft to wear, and they fit very well. I am 5' 10" and 198lbs with a fairly muscular dad-bod build including just a bit of a belly and I went with a large. It's long enough that the bottom doesn't ride up my stomach or hips when I raise my hands - which as a side-note makes them excellent for EDC purposes. That said, they are not as durable as I would like. For some reason these shirts are developing holes near the front bottom, likely from rubbing against the counter when I cook or potentially against my belt buckle. Other shirts I have purchased do not have this problem. I own 5 of these shirts - 4 short-sleeve and 1 long-sleeve - and so far all 4 of the short-sleeved versions have these same holes in them. Given how comfortable and cheap they are I may still buy another few as I don't mind replacing them, but if you're looking for a shirt with a long life these may not be it. ... show more

The shirt is definitely nice and thick, but the fit is much slimmer than I expected. If you like a looser or more relaxed fit, I'd probably size up. Good quality material though!
