I have always enjoyed using hand2mind materials both in my classroom and at home, and this is another wonderful product from the brand. I cannot recommend the hand2mind brand enough to parents, caregivers and educators. Shiloh the Steady Sloth makes movement and yoga fun and inviting for young children. I love that the yoga ball gives children an opportunity to stretch, balance, bend, and move their bodies while also practicing mindful movement and breathing. Shiloh the Steady sloth included 10 double-sided activity cards are such a great feature. Children can look at the pictures and practice the different yoga poses and breathing exercises, making it easy to incorporate movement breaks without needing to plan everything myself. These activities are wonderful for building body awareness, flexibility, balance, and self-regulation. I also really appreciate the soft plush cover. It makes the yoga ball feel more like a fun classroom friend, and the removable, machine washable cover is especially helpful when using it with young children. The convenient pocket keeps all of the activity cards together and easy to find. This is such a neat yoga set for kids! There's a kid sized yoga ball that you easily blow up and then cover with the included sloth covering. It is so soft and so adorable! The design is great and my son was immediately obsessed. It reminds kids of a big stuffed animal so the cool thing is there's a double use to this set- even if they aren't ready for yoga or if they arent using it for yoga but once or twice a week, they'll love the yoga ball regardless!! But the yoga cards are great for them practicing poses on their own or in a more structured way with you leading them. The poses are simple and illustrated and explained well on the super thick and durable included cards. It's cool that the yoga ball also has a slot to hold the cards. Very smart storage solution! Overall this is a great introduction to yoga for little kids. Think it'd be great for parent & kids bonding while practicing movement but would also be cool in a small classroom setting if a teacher had several of these. Amazing to teach little kids to enjoy movement and to stretch and practice breathing as well. Overall highly recommend this, think it'd be the perfect gift. It's high quality, well made, fun for kids, & a true benefit to kids! Love it.

This is a very cute little yoga ball for a smaller child, like a 4-8 year old. The ball fits inside of the sloth covering like a pillowcase and you have to pump it up inside because the opening is very small. That's good, because it means it won't easily fall off, but it also means that you have to completely deflate it if you want to wash the cover. It comes with a few cards demonstrating "yoga poses" for kids and there is a pouch on the side of the sloth's head that you can store the cards in, which is nice. I doubt these cards will ever actually get used more than once by my kid, but the ball is fun to sit, bounce, and roll on. Maybe if your kid has a yoga instructor for a parent they might be more into it. The package I got looks like it may have been a return. Everything looks in order, but the cards aren't flat - they seem to be curved just like you would expect from cards that were pressed up against an inflated ball, and the tape on the box was clearly cut and replaced (quite sloppily at that).

This little sloth yoga ball is seriously so frickin' cute! I honestly wasn't expecting to love it as much as we do. The fuzzy outside is incredibly soft, and my autistic son absolutely loves the sensory feel of it. He's constantly rolling around on it, bouncing, playing with it, and even trying to copy some of the yoga poses from the included cards. I LOVE that it comes with the yoga pose cards and actually has a little pocket built right into the ball to store them. Such a simple idea, but it's incredibly clever because everything stays together. It even comes with the pump you need to inflate it, so you can pretty much get started right away. The sloth design is the cutest, and my son loves this ball so much that we actually got him a second one in a different design! Anything that encourages him to move his body while also giving him sensory input is a huge win in our house. I do wish the ball was just a bit bigger, but honestly, the size seems pretty perfect for him right now. It also feels surprisingly durable, especially considering how much rolling and playing he already does with it. For the price, I think you get a lot. It's cute, incredibly soft, functional, and actually keeps my son interested. Definitely one of those sensory toys I'm really glad we found!

What I liked: This one is a bit of a head scratcher, but let's see where it goes. The Sloth cover is very soft, and the features are very well done. The nose is like a little pillow poking out, the eyes are very well defined, and the Sloth ball has a pocket in the back. No doubt that there was a lot of planning concept and design of this item. They even sent flash cards for exercises you can perform with your new sloth buddy. What I didn't like: The inflatable ball inside the Sloth cover, I am a little concerned about how far to try to pump this up. I am using the provided tape measure, but the cover is still very loose at the max point marked for adults. They did send a small air pump, but again it loses its appeal with a very loose covering and that is not how it's advertised. So, go ahead and pump, pump, pump it up at your own risk. They should have used a firm stuffed animal filler. Overall: I think it is a Sloth ball kids will use to throw around in the house and not for its intended use, not to mention they will most likely deflate the inner rubber ball if the rubber ball does not blow out first and frighten your children. I think and appreciate the thought behind the concept and design to get the kiddos to moving and exercising, but to give a child a rubber ball and call it a Calming Corner Occupational Therapy Toy, Sensory Toy, is just unrealistic. Just keep in mind if you decide to get this item you really just getting a soft covered rubber ball.

Super adorable little yoga ball. At first I was SO confused and thought the pump was garbage because I could not get it to blow up... but unlike most exercise balls and bouncy, basket, etc. balls, this has a plug that you need to remove to pump it up. Whoops! It is an excellent workout pumping it up, too. Took me quite a while! Probably faster if you have an electric pump with the right attachments. It also includes It comes with a few cards that include instructions to do various poses that are super easy to understand and follow. One of the cards gives a name, personality, and birthday to the ball. I would say, given its size, a child between 3 and 7 could use it properly. My young children enjoy it doing the yoga poses with it. My youngest child (3) just thinks it is a dog, though, no matter how many times I tell him it is a sloth lol. He asks for the "dog ball" frequently now and just enjoys holding it in his lap and resting his head on it. This would be great for use at home for children in OT. I have 2 children in OT and we have made this part of our daily routine.

Ordered this Yoga Ball Buddy for my 6 and 8 yo. The yoga ball is insides the stuffed ball, it took a little bit for me to be able to access the inside ball and finding the spot to blow up, but once I was able to position it correctly it blew up easily with the included hand pump. The ball seems to be holding air well, so no holes. The plush buddy (exterior) is very soft and very adorable. The set comes 10 yoga pose cards and one card that introduces the buddy. In the side of the buddy near the label is a pocket that you can store the cards in. I was worried the size (15 inches) would be too small for my tall kiddos but looking at the suggested cards the size works just fine. My kids love the plush buddy and I love another way to incorporate a different kind of movement in there day.

Perfect size for little hands, the soft sloth covers is a good idea, mommy and me yoga just went up a notch the included cards are great as kids will copy the picture. The included pump worked well and this yoga ball has mad one little lady & mom very happy it is a great way to incorprate bonding time into your daily routine. the quality is great and the ball serves a dual purpose, exercise and toy.
