As the founder and former owner of the largest construction company in southern Colorado, I have long appreciated quality tools. In fact, I use only the finest instruments I can find, especially in small or trim projects. You can't get a good enough saw to satisfy me. Until now. I bought this after stumbling upon it by accident, searching for a replacement miter-box saw. Knowing that Japanese forged tools are among the finest, longest lasting around, I ordered it and have been using it for a few months now. It took me awhile to get used to the difference between this saw and conventional saws. (PULL/push and not PUSH/pull.) About fifteen minutes if I recall. After that, I was amazed at the ease with which this slices through lumber. Not only is it super sharp and thin but also rigid and precise. It's simple to assemble, and once done, you can look forward to a joy to use for hours on end. I was surprised at how well the saw cuts considering the low cost. Highly recommended for both flush cuts and dovetail joints. With or without a miter box! You'll love this once you use it a time or two and get used to the reverse sawing motion of a back-pull saw. The soft-touch handle is worth the price of admission in itself! Buy one. You won't be disappointed. You can thank me later. ... show more

For such an inexpensive saw you get an awful lot. I was skeptical but after reading the reviews i decided to buy the 9.5 inch pull dovetail pull saw. Saw tears through everything cleanly and effortlessly. I’ve done dovetails with walnut, Purple Heart, zebra wood and hard maple so far with it. Couldn’t be happier and would gladly pay 3x as much.
