Planters are much thicker than I expected, very sturdy. Nice looking, even. Have good drainage routes and holes for wiring down your bonsai. Tools are simple, but sturdy. Handle is thick, solid plastic with a comfortable finish. The heads are steel and have been shaped in a manner that they won't easily bend. I tried giving a good deal of force to the shovels with no flexion. There isn't any wobble between the tool heads and handles. Even if they were to loosen up, the rivet is in good placement and I doubt they would ever break under regular or heavy, proper use. The mat is good, like most you could buy. The material seems better than the ones that feel like a tarp. This feels more like a rubberized finish over nylon? Maybe? Idk. I like it though. Very nice. Very pleased with HäMO ... show more

This was so much nicer and much higher quality than I had expected. The pots are sturdy and the drip trays are even made with a raised inner rim that the pot locks into so that it doesn't slide around, the raised rim allows for air flow and the large drainage holes have a grate design to hold in dirt. Wow, these people put a lot of thought into the design. The vinyl mat to catch dirt is huge and very thick and sturdy and even has snaps to close it up. The tools are perfect size and sturdy. I am very pleased with the pots and trays and the tools are a good size to actually use; I thought they might be tiny, but they are great for small plants. The potting mat is great! After each use I dump it out into the trash, wipe it off and fold it easily to be put away. It's a great bonsai set for beginners. ... show more
