I will start by saying that is our favorite swaddle. Baby sleeps better and longer in this swaddle than any other one. I actually time sleep cycles and the halo swaddles always give my baby the longest sleep stretches. However, I bought both the micro fleece and the cotton and tried them both multiple times. They are both good but my baby sleeps much better in the micro fleece one. We usually keep our home on the colder side so the baby loves to be cozy in the micro fleece halo. I wish I never wasted money in the cotton. That said, if your house is normally hot, this is not for you because it could overheat your baby. One downside to the halo swaddles: baby grows out of them very fast. The newborn size lasted only about a month. The small size doesn’t look like it will last that long either. I wish they were a bit longer so you could get more uses out of them. At least they are well priced. I recommend having 2 so that you can alternate them in between washes but I wouldn’t buy more than that in the same size since you will need to buy more eventually as your baby grows. ... show more

We unfortunately swaddled our baby in a soft dotted blanket from the first day of birth (same material as the cream dotted HALO swaddle). He was getting to big and started coming out of the blanket in the middle of the night. I tried THREE DIFFERENT SWADDLES, and he screamed in every single one. I took a chance on this because the material was the same and hoped for the best. A miracle happened! That night he fell asleep as if it was the blanket. What a trick I pulled, but for his safety so it needed to happen. The quality is great, washed and dried with no problem (read the directions). TOG LEVEL>>> this is a thicker one per say, we keep our house on 70. I dress him in a short sleeve onesie and socks and he does great at night. He’s not over hot or sweating when I change him or get him out in the morning. ... show more

Why did I get so many receiving blankets and DIY swaddles when this product exists?! Super easy to use and keeps baby feeling secure overnight. When baby shows signs of rolling, you can still use this product as it’s design lets you leave one or both arms out, and you just Velcro around the torso so baby still feels wrapped up. My baby loves her halo swaddle! We started with her preemie size and have kept ordering each size up! She sleeps great. Pro tip- only wash halos with other halos or burp clothes, something you dont care about. That Velcro is strong and will attach to everything in the dryer!
