  • Fun and worth the price but assembly is difficult!
Style: 108" (Black & Blue) Pattern Name: 108" Roll and Score
The media could not be loaded. The black & blue unit has the corner 100 point buckets. This was very important to me because it adds a level of difficulty. The machine is impressively large at 9ft long, 2ft wide, and the backboard stands 5ft tall - this machine is probably the closest you'll get to the real arcade! Unboxing (45 minutes): The box weighs roughly 190lbs and took 4 large trash bags and an entire recycling container of cardboard to toss. The packaging also contains thin 1/8" wood for better shipping. Unfortunately, despite the heavy wrapping, some parts were scratched - including the front plexiglass. I'm OCD, so the unboxing and cleanup alone took me 45 minutes. Assembly (3-4 hours): I've assembled a lot of things in my time, including remodeling a half bath. The assembly is not easy and some instructions were a bit vague. You need to really study the pictures to understand exactly how some parts fit together because there are times where the drill "holes" do not exactly match up. You will absolutely need a power drill and absolutely need a couple of large clamps because the boards will not line up otherwise. Even after this, I still had small 2mm gaps in some sections and even had to use my body weight a few times. Some of the predrilled "holes" are not holes at all - more like pin-needle notches in the wood that you have to carefully find. Use a marker to outline the holes to make them easier to spot. Overall Quality: The score point sensors seem to be very flimsy plastic. If you have a cat or a kid and they reach down into one of the holes and pulls their hand back out - they will bend the sensor and break it. Sometimes, the balls get stuck under the scoring pad (easily fixable) but my wife reached down into one of the holes to move a stuck ball and without thinking started pulling her hand out! The scoring panel with buckets is made of plastic - so the sound of the balls hitting that portion of the board has a very cheap sound to it. It doesn't sound solid. The wood is mostly MDF and some of the boards were warped but the machine is overall well balanced once everything is installed. I would be very careful to lift it by all legs at once - I fear that lifting one end will result in some cracking. However - the machine does seem pretty solid as it stands. Gameplay: Like the arcade, you roll 9 balls and the points go 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 (in a straight line) and 100 buckets in the back corners. All of the point buckets are the same size. The alley length is 7 feet long making it a perfect length for difficulty and the "ramp" works very well to shoot the balls up. Like I mentioned, sometimes the balls get stuck under the bucket pad and I think I can easily fix that by making a ramp out of tightened cloth rather than the wood one it comes with. I wish the LED board showed how many balls left you have. The LED board does not save the historical highest score. Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase and it's going to be a great addition to our basement arcade. I can't wait to surprise our boys this Christmas! (I have it hidden in our utility room and it's on wheels so I can roll it out Christmas morning). ... show more

  • Big balls
Style: Roll & Score Balls (3 Pack) Pattern Name: 108" Roll and Score
A little bit bigger and heavier than the ones that came with my skee ball unit, but overall good.

  • Took 2.5 hours and balls leaves scuffs
Style: Updated Version - 108"(Brown & Blue) Pattern Name: 108" Roll and Score
The media could not be loaded. Sturdy product compared to other game room pieces I have. I wish the little plastic piece that reads the ball in the whole wasn’t so fragile. I hired a pro to put it together and it took him 2.5 hours. My only complaint is the balls leave a scuff mark on the surface that will not come off. ... show more

  • Few issues
Style: Updated Version - 108"(Black & Blue) Pattern Name: 108" Roll and Score
Like all have said: the build takes time. Issues: panels are not flush and do not line up in many areas, even after working and trying to adjust. There are also areas where the bolt does not line up to pre-installed but, a few in critical connection areas. Also, white numbers are faded where you can’t see them. Not sure it’s worth the money spent. ... show more

  • It gets the job done, but isn't amazing
Style: Updated Version - 108"(Black & Blue) Pattern Name: 108" Roll and Score
The directions weren't great. Some of the pieces don't align perfectly so there are some visual defects when brand new. Balls a really light. And while I like the sound included it's pretty loud without any volume controls. All in all, it's decent, but the product feels more like a $300 product instead of an $800 product. ... show more

  • Great value & size
Style: 108" (Black & Blue) Pattern Name: 108" Roll and Score
I've been shopping for the right Skee Ball game for our basement for awhile. I really didn't want to spend a lot but I also worried about not getting a machine that would look and feel like "real" arcade skee ball. This one fits the bill. It's big enough so it feels very real, not just for kids, and it has good sound and ability to score high. There are 4 balls included - they are light weight so you have to get used to the way you throw them. On the one hand I'd like a heavier ball, but on the other I appreciate the fact that if a ball goes wild (which it does with kids) it wont cause damage. It was not difficult to put together if you're fairly handy. One complaint is that sometimes the ball gets stuck and you have to jiggle the heavy end to get it to return - there's probably something we can do to fix this we just haven't taken the time. I would definitely recommend you pay for the "room of choice" delivery - this was so worth it as it arrives in a massive box that is super heavy. ... show more
