I have taken my time using this brush before reviewing it, so I could assess whether I really liked it beyond the initial novelty - and the result is yes I do like it a lot. It seems lately, I've been having trouble with my many blush brushes - they just aren't getting the blush in the right spot and feathering it out well. I really don't do much contouring (yet, anyway) but I have found that the narrow tilt of this brush is doing a great job with my powder blushes. The bristles are very soft, yet firm enough to easily work with. It looks like the price of the product has also gone down from when it was originally made available, so it's definitely worth a try. I would consider buying more brushes from this brand when I next need to replace some of the ones I currently use. ... show more

This HALEYS Brilliant Contour Brush is very nice. The bristles are soft and perfectly in place. They stay firmly in place, so there were not any bristles falling out of the brush. It works well for applying powder contour and powder blush. I have not used it with any liquid or cream products. The handle is sturdy and comfortable to hold.     • Unexpectedly soft for a synthetic brush
I was pleasantly surprised by the feel of this makeup brush. It’s very soft and comfortable to use. I don’t plan on applying liquid makeup with it, but rather am using it to add a bit of dry blush or contouring powder, and for overall blending. My only hesitation, really, is the multiple warnings in the listing to NOT get the metal part of the brush wet while washing. They seemed rather insistent. Since I’m not using it with goopy makeup, I probably won’t be washing it all that often, so I doubt it’ll be a problem for me… but I did wonder about how impractical that restriction seems. It would be hard to wash the brush bristles without getting the rest of the brush wet. The only thing that might be improved is the brush came in a plastic bag with no instructions — so if keeping it dry is that important, they probably should have added additional care info. ... show more

I don't wear a lot of makeup, but occasionally I want to look my best. I don't have a good makeup contouring brush, so I was happy to try this. It works for my needs, but won't see a lot of use by me. I may give it to my daughter where it will see more use. This bristles are soft and yet I can still apply the product where I want because they stay in place. I tried the HALEYS Brilliant Contour Brush and it's impressive. The bristles are soft and didn't fall out during use. The handle is comfortable to hold and has a good weight. It's versatile with powder, cream, and liquid products. The packaging is nice, but overall I would say the brush still falls on the pricey side of the product which is a bit disappointing. ... show more
