I’m a licensed hairstylist, and I wanted a doll head that has real hair, long hair, a hairline that is not too low on the forehead, decent hair density, and an attractive face. I was afraid I was searching for the holy grail. I finally found this mannequin and I am impressed! She checks all the boxes. My coworker and I were nerding out over now nice and thick her hair is. The media could not be loaded. Excellent purchase! 100% human hair, golden blond and long hair. Out of the box easy to comb. After gently shampooing and conditioner she was wrapped in a towel while I worked my salon day. Removed the towel and could comb through easily. Cons- the hole in base for tripod stem is very small. Too small for my PivotPoint tripod. Also the "skin" they layer over the hard headroom is loose. Be very careful not to submerge thus, or ANY MANNEQUIN. Some have complained about the hair shedding and the texture, But that's to be expected from any mannequin. Since the hair is heavily processed to sterilize it. I liked the softness of the hair. The hair is thin, but I did not think this was a problem. I washed, added a volumizing mouse,and blowed dried. That improved the volume. I prepped the hair for practicing updos by texturizing the root using a texturizing iron at 300F. No melting! Next, I added loose curls using a 1" Hot Tools marcel iron and i still did not notice any melting. The ends are thin, but a little trim will fix that in the future. The media could not be loaded. I am a Full time Cosmetology student and I bought her to practice on. Right out of the box she was very smooth with no knots or tangles. I have shampooed and blow dried her and she did just fine. There is fall out or shedding but many of my much more expensive heads have shed just has much if not more. Her hair is very soft and she is much prettier then thr stock photo. I did not find any nits which is nice. However, they wouldn't have cared... The reviews complaining about it has obviously never bought a real hair wig or Training head before. The only fault I see is... I am pretty sure its not like 100% human hair. Might have yak or something else. Works just fine either way. I'll let ya know how it goes. ... show more

This mannequin head is definitely not going to last me very long. I wasn’t a fan of the brassy golden blonde hair that it arrived with so I did decide to highlight it and then tone it. Not that the hair was in the best condition to begin with but after I lightened it, it seemed extremely brittle and dry. I did a good treatment on it and then I ended up having to add clip in extensions to it to practice different style’s because the hair was just too thin. After adding the clip ins and smoothing everything out with my curling iron (It took heat completely fine) it didn’t look terrible. For the price I may purchase another one but only for my personal use, not to demonstrate or teach with. ... show more

This mannequin is incredible!! I’ve gone through a few mannequin heads, and this one is by far the best I’ve used. The hair is soo long, thick, and soft. It’s great for practicing updos and styles, but can be colored as well. I bleached and colored the hair and the hair is still in great shape. And I am actually in love with this not only did the hair look great before doing anything to it, when I washed the hair with both hot also tried cold water the hair did not tangle AT ALL it didn’t become a rats nest like some heads do. I’m a bridal hair styling educator and have over 15 dollheads. I often buy amazon mannequins to have more affordable solutions for my students. Out of all the amazon heads I’ve tried, this is hands down the worst one. 1) The smell. My entire house smelled awful for hours after attempting to style this. It stinks of chemicals, even after washing. 2) Texture. The hair is so course for the first 6 inches of the hair starting at the root and then becomes a stringy texture at the end. If feels as if 2 different textures of hair were used. 3) So many broken flyaways. Starting at the root, there are SO many short pieces that doing any type of styling with this is almost impossible. There’s no way to hide and tame that many flyaways. It’s completely unnatural and in addition to the 2 different textures, It makes it unusable. I’ve bought MANY dollheads around the same or less price point and this is the worst one. This feels like a horrible $15 dollhead.
