I love these little pocket notebooks! The colors are fun, and they fit a surprising quantity of text in a super compact book. I buy tons of these because, in addition to using them myself, I always provide them for my students who don't have or want to buy their own mini-notebook to use for a small project that I assign every quarter. Since most of them are happy to use one of the free ones and not have to source their own, I go through a LOT of them. So I've tried several brands, and I like these the best. First, they are lined, with small spaced lines, which is important for the writing assignment that I provide them for. I always buy an item that is described as "lined," but every so often I get a set that isn't. These are exactly as described. Second, they are tightly bound and don't have any loose threads that can pull and allow the book to fall apart. They're well made and stay assembled. They also have more/smaller stitches than some of the other ones I've seen, so the binding is more stable during use. Third, they have rounded corners. I didn't think this was a big deal until I used a couple of the ones with square corner edges. These don't end up with the same worn/raggedy look that the corners often get. They also just look elevated; it's a small but nice detail. Fourth, they have a little header at the top of each page for the date and/or title. Again, this seems like a small detail, but I find that when it's there, the book seems more put together (for one thing, you can easily identify which is the front and back, top and bottom). It's also nice for students to keep track of their entries by date, and when I use them for taking attendance, I put the header info as well. So it just feels more like a proper journal and not just paper that's cut up and bound. Again, a small detail but super nice to have. Take it from someone who goes through a couple hundred of these per year: this is the set you want!

Little Notebooks, Big Everyday Utility: There's something satisfying about a notebook that simply understands its purpose. These little 3.5 x 5.5 inch notebooks are compact enough to disappear into a back pocket, purse, backpack, glove box, desk drawer, or anywhere else you might suddenly need to jot something down. The covers come in a cheerful assortment of colors that make them easy to sort or hand out, and the stitched binding feels secure enough to stand up to everyday use. I especially appreciate the college ruled pages because they naturally keep my handwriting tighter and more organized, allowing me to fit considerably more notes on each page than I could with wider ruling. Designed to Be Used, Not Admired: The paper performs well with pencils and standard ballpoint pens, allowing me to comfortably write on both sides of each sheet with a normal writing pressure. That's exactly how I intend to use notebooks like these. If you prefer fine-tip markers, felt-tip pens, fineliners, or other porous ink pens, you'll likely notice some bleed-through, so that's worth keeping in mind depending on your writing style. Even so, these were clearly designed with practicality in mind. Each notebook has enough pages to last a while without becoming bulky, making them perfect for shopping lists, project notes, reminders, quick sketches, measurements, or those little ideas that always seem to arrive at the worst possible moment. The Little Notebook Could: Not every notebook needs leather covers, fancy paper, or ribbon bookmarks to be useful. Sometimes the best ones are simply the ones you always have with you when inspiration strikes or life needs a quick note. As for this happy little kitten, she'll be tucking these into just about every corner of the house, the car, and her bags. Because somehow, the notebook within reach is always the one that gets the story.

These are a nice, portable size for a purse, car or desk. They're not too small but not too big. The blank covers allow for easy personalization and customization. The colors are bright and the amount you get for the cost is a great value with how versatile these mini notebooks are. They feel like a nice quality notebook with many uses.

I got these for letterboxing. There are several major events coming up where I need a lot of different notebooks. Being these are all different colors they work great for different themed finds. These are lined. Some people do not like lined for letterboxing but I do not mind. I tried writing in these with pencil, pen, fountain pen and marker. There was just a tiny amount of feathering with a fountain pen, but no bleed through. However using these for letterboxing stamped inks are most important for me and this was perfect. The size is great for putting in various hides all over. The cover is a thicker more durable material. It appears to be be water resistant, maybe waxed. It is not waterproof but out letterboxing hiding inside a container out in the woods these are perfect. These mini notebooks really are a great little thing to have as they are soft and flexible they can fit in your pocket or purse easily. Have shopping list or notes, anything else you might need on the go. I know there are phones but I am old school, having a handy paper list and details with me is so much faster and convenient. Phones you enter it and well it becomes more digital clutter.

I ordered these because I am always needing something nearby for quick notes, especially when I receive a call and need to write down information right away. They are also perfect for times when I am on call and away from home because I can easily keep one in my bag and car without carrying a bulky notebook. The size is one of the best things about them. They are small enough to be convenient, but still large enough to write useful notes, names, phone numbers, ticket details, reminders, or quick lists. They are much easier to carry around than a full size notebook. The quantity is very generous. With 150 notebooks, I do not feel like I have to save them or be careful about using them. I can keep them in multiple places and still have plenty left for work, home, travel, gifts, or sharing. The colorful covers are also helpful because they are easy to spot, and different colors can be used for different purposes if you want to stay organized. The lined pages make quick note taking neater than using random scraps of paper. These are not fancy journals, and they are not meant to be heavy duty planners. They are practical little pocket notebooks for real everyday use, and that is exactly why I like them. For quick notes on the go, they are the perfect size and a great value for the quantity.
