Buttercup is crafted from recycled materials, from the packaging to the stuffing inside. Even the shipping bag is sourced from recycled materials! When she was little, my daughter's fav stuffed toy was the classic Gund bear--the appallingly adorable Snuffles one. She's 31 and still has it. Really. Which tells you a lot about the quality of these toys Fast forward to a baby shower for Grandkid #1, and immediately I think this would be good to throw into the box with a bunch of other goodies (blankets, how boring without a bear?). However, that particular Snuffles bear comes with button eyes--so that was a safety no-go. Fortunately, Gund also has this baby-safe bear! And boy is this one a sooooft, squishy guy.
