I've used to the janky grow lights from Home Depot for several years. They've worked fine for starting garden seeds and getting the seedlings to grow. But after expanding my garden I needed something larger and more robust. After a bunch of research I decided on the VIPARSPECTRA P2000 and am extremely satisfied. This unit is very solidly built and professional unlike the mostly plastic Home Depot lights. I was stunned at how bright it is compared to the others. For my tomato seedlings I only kept it at 25% power which was more than sufficient. I'm now actually looking at an indoor tomato grow next winter. I am one of the ones that is still using HPS for veg and flower. I decided to get these LEDs a try and all I can say is its has been great in veg so far. The big difference I notice from veg with HPS and LED is that I can place the light right on top of the plant at 9" @50% and they grow amazing. The nodes are stacked right on top of each other. With LED the node spacing is less than half inch apart as with HPS they will stretch and tend to get uneven. I just purchased the KS3000 for my 4X4 I was so amazed. I can not wait to see what it does in flower. I cant wait to use these in the summer to see how my room temperature will be with these in them. My HPS in the summer will hit over 90 at time, I am sure these will be a wonder. ... show more
