    • great solid bass, a little boring
So here's the thing, the bass itself plays, tunes and performs great. The pickups are nice. That said, it just doesn't have the interesting sound of a musicman or a fender, it's a bit dull which is kind of okay but in other ways a little sad honestly. Other than that 100% great bass.

    • Great little bass for the price...
I wanted another short scale bass and decided to go with this one to go along with my Epiphone Viola bass. I'm the kinda guy that doesn't buy basses hoping it sounds good to my liking. I buy them to make them sound the way I like. First thing I did after getting it was to replace the output jack with a multi contact jack and then replace the strings with D'addario tapewounds. After setting the string height and intonation it sounds pretty good. I still want to replace the pick ups though. The bass came in set up pretty decent for one that you get shipped in sight unseen so I really can't find any problems with it. I would recommend it for anybody that is wanting learn to play the bass or anyone who is experienced thats looking for an affordable venture into short scale basses. Hope this helps. ... show more

    • Fun budget bass, the short scale is great for guitar players used to smaller fretboard too!
Fun bass to play, had to adjust the truss rod and bridge to get this to not buzz (honestly somewhat expected for a guitar being shipped in cardboard) but otherwise a very nice bass. I mostly play guitar and not bass but this bass certainly feels great from my perspective. And it looks absolutely beautiful to top it all off. My box did arrive fairly damaged however there is an ok amount of cardboard and foam padding inside and I couldn't find any damage to the guitar itself. ... show more

Can't beat for the price. I put flat wound strings on right away, but that's just me. Sounds great. Great intonation and stays tuned. Some guitars don't in this range. I'm a keyboard player so I can't speak to pickups and all that, but I have a Hofner B-Bass, and this one is way better. Paid the same for the other one at a pawn shop like 12 years ago. I like a short scale bass, too. I think it's a great instrument. Recommend unless you're a bass fanatic ... show more

    • Good instrument with great tone
Great tone with a very playable neck for kids with little hands and short arms. Only complaint was the knobs weren't installed/tightened properly from the factory, but it was a fairly easy fix.

Hermoso, buena construcción, terminación y control de calidad. Suena muy bien. Actualización: no tiene pastillas Humbucker, son sigle coil. Se nota mucho el ruido con los agudos al máximo, creí que el problema era mi red eléctrica pero un usuario de YouTube (LowEndLobster) desarmó las pastillas y descubrió que son sigle coil. Una decepción que mientan así. ¿Qué hará Fender/Gretsch con los clientes que confiaron? ¿Van a reemplazar los pickups y hacerse cargo del costo de instalación? Update 2: Gretsch has updated their website and now lists these pickups as having "Gretsch Single Coils", you can claim by reaching out to them via the official site for a compesation. ... show more

El bajo es muy hermoso, el material y color son de muy buena calidad, las 5 cuerdas se sienten excelente pero no vienen afinadas. No llegó con ningún daño o defecto y al tocarlo suena muy bien. Recomendado para personas que están empezando con el bajo electrico.
