I ordered the journal to keep on my school bus. The fact that it be held flat is important to me. This means it’s easier to use both sides of the page. It uses a magnetic closure. This makes it simple to open and then close securely. All good things. I like the purchase. Now to the pen. I wasn’t sure how it opened. Whether it unscrewed or just pull the top. Turned out you pull it. When I did this it fell apart. I put it back together but by now the damage was done. The pen is more or less a felt tip. I needed a paper towel to absorb the excess ink that flowed from the tip. The decision was easy. Into the trash can and I will the many pens I already have in the drawer. This pen is a minor inconvenience. I bought the journal and am going to keep it.

Very nice journal. Great exterior touch and feel to cover. Does smudge easily though but smudges seem to disappear over time. Like the thick pages to take heavy pressure when writing with passion. Really like the pen. Nice roller ball type. No smudging of ink. Good size to fit my big hands. Question though about when pen runs out of ink. Cannot find a pen filler replacement. Does any one have experience with finding refills that fit the Percun pen?

The cover feels like a cardboard wrapped in the leather of the book, the leather is soft and feels good. But it is not sturdy at all. Plus the flap that wraps around the notebook to keep it closed, gets on the way whenever I am writing. It is pretty annoying. The pen is okay, not the best but gets the job done. Paper feels good to write on.
