Worked well! I poured half the bottle in the tub drain and let it sit overnight. Then I filled half the bathtub with hot water and opened the drain to flush everything through with some force from the draining water. ALSO - if you have a faucet drip then you will need to fix that, or put a bowl or bucket in the tub to cover the drain and catch the drips. The drain needs to dry out between showers. Green Gobbler is my new favorite solution to a pesky household problem especially during the summer... those horrid little fruit flies and drain flies. For years, I'd been doing the whole vinegar down the drain thing to limited success. This year when I realized that those teeny, tiny drain demons were getting inside my toothbrush cover I declared war and Green Gobbler answered the call for recruits to rout out the enemy for me. I prep the drains by pouring a full kettle of hot water down the pipes. Then pour Green Gobbler Fruit Fly Killer gel down the drain focusing on coating the edges of the drain pipe. The citronella cinnamon oil formula is not offensive to humans, but it sure offends and offs those pesky pests. It takes 5-7 days of consistent use, but get rid of those pests! Low odor, use at night, and packaging is fine. Keep away from Children although my child was way interested in the green gobbler, she was easily convinced hes a bad guy!

It is important to note, nowhere on this bottle did I see that it actually kills fruit flies or their eggs(or whatever). What this does, is it seems to prevent bugs from wanting to go into the drain and breed more, which in turn, causes them not to procreate and die. Still handy. A lot of produce is arriving home with fruit flies, people are having issues, and so I would recommend this, along with a zevo plug in(they really do work). I gave three stars because I felt like the product was misleading, as it did not kill them in the drain. ... show more

I had a terrible problem with fruit flies, they were everywhere. I called pest control and they came out and treated the sink. For a few days the number of flies went down but then we were again infested. I ordered this fruit fly killer. I treated the sinks that night. The next morning the number of flies was noticeably less. By the end of the morning I noticed that there weren’t any flies in sight. Per the instructions I retreated the sinks three days later and I have not seen any of these pesky flies in over two weeks. I’m really pleased with the Green Gobbler Fruit Fly Killer Plus Gel Treatment. The consistency is thick enough to stay where you apply it without making a huge mess. The **quantity** is generous, and the 32 oz bottle provides plenty of product for multiple treatments.The smell/scent is noticeable but not overpowering, especially compared with some strong chemical products. It was also very easy to use just apply the gel as directed and let it work. I used it today and I have not seen one fruit fly Overall, I like the convenience, consistency, quantity, and ease of use. It did exactly as it advertised. By the end of the first big bottle, it got rid of most of the flies. I had to buy a second smaller bottle and I haven’t seen those flies since May. I like the smell because its not super strong. Overall, I recommend it.
