Used the light for floundering. It is mounted in the front of a small boat hinged to extend and retract. Light is bright and has a pvc cap that is predrilled to accept mounting bracket that makes assembly easier. Power cord is sufficient to run power to operate the light. i used this on my home made giggin light with a dewalt adapter and so far it has worked great. I have only had in the water once hard to say how long it will last but so far so good. Very bright

    • Great gigging light!
I got one light and opted to attach it to a wood pole with a wood screw vs using the pvc head. It worked great in a aluminum flats boat with one person poling, one person holding the light and one gigging. I just got another one, that I plan to attach to the boat for a broad light and have the other on the pole in order to check out specific spots. Great light! ... show more

Bought this before summer vacation to use on the beach at night with the kids. We absolutely loved the light because of it illuminated everything underwater. This light is way better then the headlamps that we typically use and I was excited. After only one use I washed it off with fresh water and then sprayed the bolts/hinges with WD-40 to make sure nothing rust from the salt water. That was the one and only time that I used the light while on vacation. Fast forward to last week when I finally get a chance to take the kayak and gig out and again I’m super stoked because I know the light is gonna do a great job and I would see the fish I was after. With all the rush to get everything ready and get out to the flats I don’t actually inspect the light. Before buying the light I had seen the other reviews about water getting into the light but thought to myself that they were flukes and It wouldn’t happen to the one I had because it had done such a wonderful job the first time that I used it. I would be wrong. Still without looking at the end of the light I’m out wading in knee deep water with a kayak tied to my waste and a gig in my other hand ready to slock a doormat. I connect the battery and realize that I’m only seeing half the light that I remember. Pulled the light out of the water and my heart sank to see that somehow water did get into my light during the first time using it. Of course that pretty much ended my gigging for the night and I paddled back in with a low hanging bottom lip. Don’t get me wrong I think the light is a wonderful light and I would like to have another one. But if do I will be checking all seams and adding some type of extra sealant to ensure no water can penetrate the light casing. ... show more

    • Great light for flounder gigging!
Used these lights on flounder gigging for several hours every night on a flounder gigging trip to Freeport Texas. I had 3 of them going for me and my buddies. I ran them on a Milwaukee 18v battery with a step down wired in to bring it down to 12v. It ran for hours and barely took anything out of the battery. Didn't even charge the batteries over the course of the 3 nights. These lights are as bright as any, very pleased! ... show more

Crazy name. I got two units. They come as a head and a bracket to fit to a 1” PVC pole. I bought one 10’ piece of PVC and had some left over. The units worked well. They were bright and held up well - even to the kids who really enjoyed them. I was pleased.
