  • Great book for your woodworking library
The book has lots of different Arts and Crafts furniture but is somewhat short on details. There is enough info to build the pieces but you'll have to do a fair bit of examining the drawings to get all the details right. On a different level it gives you a good idea of how these pieces were constructed so you can design your own projects using the construction methods of a bygone era. For the most part the book takes into account wood movement that the originals didn't always compensate for. ... show more

  • Great book for anyone wanting to build craftsman furniture
This book has an extension list of craftsman furniture. The drawings are very detailed showing all the basic Contruction and also include a materials list. There are no instructions so if you cannot build from drawings this may not be helpful to you. Its nice to have all the dimensions rather then trying to figure them out from a picture. It also have detailed drawings of all the period inlays if you are looking to make a replica item. Well worth the money. You would typically pay more then the price of the book for a single plan and here you get 61 plans ... show more

  • Some detail issues
Inn general the book is really good, nice bit on construction techniques techniques, and the inlay and hardware information is hard to find wooden elsewhere. Plans are fine for an experienced woodworker. Lang does sell more detailed plans if you feel uncomfortable working from the book. Be careful on the cut lists. There are a lot of typesetting issues that can lead you astray. (A printed thickness of 13/16 where the actual dimension is 1 3/16). ... show more

  • Fabulous Craftsman book
This book is in pristine condition, not the fault of the seller, however the author left out a lot of the dimensions in the drawings, and could use more information. The book in itself is something every pro and hobbyists can certainly gain from having in their library.

  • It’s not bad for some
Its a decent book but you need to know what your doing for everything this would go well with a stack of other books that tell you how to do the stuff in this book

  • Great reference
This book is a great resource. I’m building a library table similar to one of the tables featured in the book. Confirmed a few dimensions and got some ideas. After reading other reviews I think it is worth emphasizing that this is a book of shop drawings. It is not a complete set of build plans for each piece. If you are designing your own piece, this book will help you with key dimensions and design features. It will not give you a paint by numbers guide for building each piece. ... show more

  • It was worth it!
This book gave complete drawings, pictures, etc. My husband made me a new dining room table with Makor wood and I love the way it came out. I wanted to post a pic but for some reason it wouldn't load
