  • awesome mold
The detail on this little bird is beautiful. I cut a slit in the tail of the mold to make it easier to remove the bird without breaking the tail off and now the mold works perfectly. I have 3 molds and have made close to 200 small concrete birds and the molds are still like new. I will by this product again and again. ... show more

  • Disappointed
The way the mold is designed/made there is no way to get gumpaste or fondant out and maintain the bird shape. Disappointed that it’s not usable as is, I’m either going to return it or try to cut it in half to be able to open it and make in two pieces and tangent glue together.

  • Very Cute Baby Bird
Made a very cute little concrete baby bird to fix onto one of several concrete birdbaths I casted for my little garden. I was surprised the figure turned out pretty good since I did use concrete, not chocolate or any food product. There were a lot of small bubbles which end up as little pits in the final result, but I was able to get most of those to blend by using a wet paint brush before it completely dried out and brushing them out or adding a bit of watery cement to fill them in. I did lose some details, like the ends of the tail and wings but I've only made one and will be creating several more so hopefully I can work out some of the "bugs". Popped out of the mold fairly easily without using any type of mold release...I just gently loosen the mold around the cement pulling and tugging until it came out! I love the details in the feathering...cute little baby bird! The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 were the issue with the tiny bubbles that left half-sphere pits....but still adorable! ... show more

  • Also a nice bird
This was one of two birds I got. I use rapidset cementall. The tail on this bird was difficult to get out. With some practice, I can now do it without breakage. Bubbles in the beak are an issue. In general a nice mold, just the tail is a bit thin.
