It is a blue-er, more indigo shade of purple. I bought this at the end of March 2021, and it came with the correct pendant year for the tassel. I was hoping for a richer royal purple, so I bought the purple robes from other vendors for comparison. This vendor's robe is the bottom right hand corner from "GraduationMall- Shiny" purple and the upper left hand robe is "Grad Days Shiny" purple (richer shade of purple). The shiny materials seem to be more translucent and thinner, which is a result of the ribbed texture. I liked the matte fabric and the thickness of the weave of the "Graduation Royal" matte purple. It has the texture and opaqueness of the polyester tablecloths at trade shows or dining halls. ... show more
